The treehouse is nestled into your own corner of our 8.5 acres. Kick back in a forest setting while leaving the rest behind. Wander the nature path, sit by the crackling fire, take a shower outdoors or soak in the roomy hot tub. Rural foothills living but convenient to Hickory, Morganton & Lenoir. We have great local parks & lakes to explore. Check out a winery or brewery. Take a day trip to Asheville, Charlotte or Blowing Rock. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short drive from here. Breathtaking! The Perch Tiny treehouse is a custom built tiny house (just under 400 square feet) up in the trees. Perfect for a couple or cozy for a small family. Modern design with whimsical storybook touches. It’s like stumbling across granny’s cottage in the forest, but way cooler. The space offers a screened-in porch with dining for four plus a two-seater bar top by the big pine through the deck. Cook up a tasty meal in the full kitchen or on the charcoal grill. Indulge your inner child on the oversized cedar swing or wander down to the hammock swings and the selfie bench. See how much flora, fauna and fungi you can spot. Ready to wind down after you hit the hot tub? Sink into the daybed, turn on the fireplace and candles and watch a movie. Popcorn and afghans are provided. The Perch has its own dedicated hi-speed internet for our guests. Private home with its own gravel driveway and parking area. The flat path from your vehicle to the Perch is approximately 40 feet. Suitable for about any vehicle to access (yes, even a Prius) and ample room for truck and trailer to park. We offer self check-in or a meet and greet if you prefer. We live on the property and are readily available to assist our guests. Rural North Carolina neighborhood. Please note this is a rural/country environment. You may hear a passing vehicle/lawn mower from time to time, encounter wildlife and hear sounds common to country life such as woodpeckers, a tractor, a dirt bike/4 wheeler or even hunting in the distance. While we offer most of the amenities of a standard American home, we do not have a dishwasher on property. To keep a sanitary environment, minimize critters and keep our cleaning fee low, guests are asked to wash the dishes they have used. There is a queen bed and 2 twins. A partition is between the sleeping areas, but no door. Per our insurance carrier, all guests must agree to hot tub waiver (sent upon booking). The hot tub is cleaned and chemistry is balanced and documented daily.
