Beautiful Thatched Cottage Near South Devon Coast

Set at the end of a quiet lane, this 'chocolate box' cottage is situated in the rolling hills of South Devon, 1 mile from the River Teign, 3.5 miles from the coast and 7 miles from Dartmoor. Dating from 1672, the cottage has recently been renovated and offers a great base for bird-watching, hiking, cycling, kayaking, water skiing, playing golf or just relaxing. The space Yarner Cottage is a charming Grade II listed property with parking for two cars. We offer a self-check-in service, a luggage drop facility and cater for a maximum of one dog (no cats please). Upon arrival, you will receive a chilled bottle of Prosecco, bread, eggs, semi-skimmed milk, an assortment of teas, coffee, and mini cereal packets. The Kitchen: Recently updated, it comprises a fan oven, induction hob, dishwasher, air fryer, fridge, toaster, filter coffee machine and is well equipped for those who wish to cook for themselves. A breakfast-bar/eating area seats 3 adults and can be used as a work area for those that can't entirely switch off! There is also a stow-away dining table with four chairs that could be used within the lounge. Washing liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea-towels etc are supplied. The Lounge: A double-aspect room, it includes a large leather settee, armchair and a rustic fireplace with log-effect lighting. There are plenty of books for all ages, an LED TV with free access to Netflix & Spotify and a selection of board games. TV broadcasts are available via iPlayer, ITV Hub etc. Stairs (accessed via upper and lower dog/child gates) lead to upstairs... The Main Bedroom: Has views over the garden and woods along with a brand-new Kingsize bed & mattress, sheets, duvet, pillows plus bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and a built in wardrobe. The Single Bedroom: A cosy room, including a brand-new single bed & mattress, duvet, sheets and pillows with the option for our travel-cot, changing mat, baby bath. The Bathroom: Includes power shower, hand & body towels, shower mat, storage cabinet, mirror, sanitary bin and a selection of toiletries. The cottage has wifi throughout via a satellite connection. This provides average to good performance - and is suitable for watching TV and/or video calls. Mobile phone signal will depend on carrier - but is patchy at best! Other things to note Garden: There is a small seating area outside of the cottage, enclosed by hedging. This includes a new four-seater pub-style table/bench. Dogs: The cottage is small - and not large enough for multiple dogs. A single well behaved dogs is welcome. They are not allowed upstairs - as we cater for guests who have allergies. Bicycles: We can offer secure storage for bikes as well as charging facilities. Electric Cars: We have a type 2 charger (fees not included in rent). Access: Please note the cottage is not wheelchair accessible.
