Country house between Sancerre and La Charité

Our country house offers you a quiet stay between the Loire and the vineyards of Sancerre and Pouilly-sur-Loire. Ideal for family or friend gatherings, you can enjoy a large green space. You will be just 2 steps from the Loire by Bicycle trail and the village center, where you will find a bakery and a bar/grocery store. There are many tourist attractions nearby, and beautiful walks await! The space The house, completely renovated in 2024, is accessed by a staircase that leads to the first level. There is a bright entryway leading to the fully-equipped open kitchen. A large living room features a 4-meter oak table for convivial meals. It opens onto a lounge with a TV, board games for young and old, and a library – everything you need to keep busy on winter evenings! A double bedroom with a queen-size bed and a full-size bed opens onto a bathroom with shower and bathtub, and then a separate toilet with a laundry area (washing machine and dryer). On the second level, you will find 4 bright bedrooms decorated in a simple style, each with a queen-size bed and a wardrobe to store your clothes. The upper floor also has a small living room with a sofa and TV, as well as a shower room and separate toilet. Upon your arrival, the beds will be made (fitted sheets, duvet covers, bolster cases and pillowcases). We do not provide bath linens! The garden is a real asset for our vacation home! More than 3,000 m² of greenery, with fruit trees and a small pond (swimming prohibited), offer you an ideal place to play or relax in the shade! For your summer evenings, the garden furniture and BBQ will be your allies... The house is located in a very quiet hamlet close to the wild Loire and the Bertranges Forest, and at the same time, the highway is only a few kilometers away! Pouilly, Sancerre, Bourges, La Charité-sur-Loire, and many activities and tourist attractions are accessible from Herry! As farmers, we can offer you a visit to our goat farm located 25 minutes away, if you'd like! For hygiene reasons, the house is non-smoking and no pets are allowed. We spent a lot of time and enjoyed creating this friendly and cozy haven, named "La Clef du Bonheur" ("The Key to Happiness"). Guest access The basement and outbuildings are not accessible to guests. (Not yet renovated) Other things to note Before your departure, we ask that you do "normal" cleaning: dishes cleaned and put away, floors and bathrooms clean, beds unmade and garbage pails taken out to the porch. Please note that towels are not provided, but the beds will be made.
