Country house between Sancerre and La Charité

Our country house will offer you a quiet stay, between the Loire and the vineyards of Sancerre and Pouilly/Loire. Ideal for family reunions or friends, you can enjoy a large green space with a small body of water at the bottom of the property. You will be 2 steps from the Loire bike path and the village center where you will find a bakery and a market on Thursday afternoon. Many tourist attractions are located nearby, beautiful walks in perspective! The space The house, completely renovated in 2024, is accessible by a staircase that leads to the first level. There is a bright entrance overlooking the fully equipped open kitchen. A large living room accommodates a 4m oak table for convivial meals; it opens onto a living room with TV, board games for young and old and a library, enough to occupy winter evenings! A double bedroom with a 160 cm bed and a 140 cm bed overlooks a bathroom with shower and bathtub, then separate toilet with laundry area (washing machine and dryer). On the second level, you will find 4 bright and simply decorated bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and a wardrobe to store your clothes. The floor also has a small living room with sofa and TV, and a separate shower room and toilet. Upon arrival, the beds will be made (fitted sheets, duvet covers, bolster cases and pillows). Please note that we do not provide towels! The garden is a real asset for our vacation home! More than 5000 m² of greenery, with fruit trees and a small body of water (swimming is prohibited) offer you a playground or rest in the ideal shade! For your summer evenings, the garden furniture and barbecue will be your allies... The house is located in a very quiet hamlet close to the wild Loire and the Bertranges forest, and at the same time, the highway is only a few kilometers away! Pouilly, Sancerre, Bourges, La Charité sur Loire, many activities and tourist places are accessible from Herry! Being farmers, we offer, if you like, a visit to our goat farm located 20 minutes away! For hygiene reasons, the house is non-smoking and no pets are allowed. We took a lot of time and pleasure in creating this friendly and warm cocoon, called "La Clef du Bonheur". Guest access The basement and outbuildings adjacent to the house are not accessible to guests. (not yet renovated) Other things to note Before your departure, we ask that you do an "ordinary" cleaning: dishes cleaned and put away, floors and sanitary facilities clean, beds undone and garbage cans taken out on the steps. Bathroom linens are not provided.
