At Ease on Galveston Island

Live the beach life from this 1922 bungalow, which was completely renovated in 2023. A four block walk to the beach and Seawall, with its many bars and restaurants. Sit on the front porch and people watch as customers go to the surf shop across the street and families head to the beach. Only two miles to the Strand district (about a $10 Uber). Pleasure Pier is even closer. Garage holds smaller cars, and 90’ ribbon driveway is also available for parking. Back yard has pergola, bar and fire pit The space The house was renovated in 2023 by a builder who wanted to keep the old charm (bubble glass windows, clawfoot tub, solid doors with glass knobs), but add modern conveniences (central air, smart appliances, large bathrooms). There are two bedrooms, each with an attached bath. Both have new (12/23) quality queen-sized mattresses from Star Furniture. The bedroom street-side has a firm version and the bedroom closest to the kitchen has the plush version. There is a pull-out couch bed that will sleep two additional guests. The neighborhood is old. On my street are six houses that have Galveston College athletes lodging, a surf shop, another airbnb across the street, and very friendly neighbors who have lived here for decades. The house has a beach wagon and chairs, bags game, outdoor bar, grill, outdoor shower and fire pit. The owner lives here in the winter months, so it is well appointed and cared for. Guest access You will have use of the entire house and garage. There is one locked cabinet in the kitchen where household items are stored. There is a locked shed in the backyard.
