River Valley Retreat

The perfect place to relax and enjoy the tranquil sights and sounds of the valley. Spend the day fishing, bird watching, or enjoying the walking trails at the nearby Toorongo Falls. After a day out, relax in the open-plan kitchen, living and dining area. Sit by the cosy woodburning fireplace, gaze at the flames, relax and free your mind from distractions. Sit on the verandah and enjoy the night sky, listen to the slight trickling of water gently flowing, lulling you into a state of rest. The space River Valley Retreat, your tranquil retreat, exudes country charm and relaxation. This sturdy brick home features hardwood flooring and offers open living/kitchen/dining space with a walk-in pantry. The North-West facing windows provide plenty of natural light to the living areas and two of the bedrooms. One bedroom with two single beds is off the living room. Two bedrooms with queen beds are down the hall. The bathroom consists of a bathtub and sink with a separate shower room and separate toilet. The front deck is the ideal place to BBQ, relax and enjoy the view up the valley and surrounding countryside. River Valley Retreat is not to be used as a "party house", and any use as such will not be tolerated. This lovely home offers a serene escape in a quiet and peaceful area with neighbours nearby. It should be understood that our neighbours expect peace and quiet. You may not have any sort of large or noisy gatherings that would be likely to disturb our neighbours with loud or excessive noise. You may be asked to leave immediately if we deem that you are creating a disturbance to our neighbours or breaking any of the house rules. Guest access Enjoy all rooms in the house and fenced in house yard. There will be no one else using the house or yard, unless otherwise discussed with you in advance. Host may be working in certain areas/paddocks surrounding the house. No guest access to the storage room off the backdoor. Old farm house and farm sheds not to be entered. Do not enter paddocks for your safety and the safety of livestock. Guests can access the river via Toorongo Valley Road. Other things to note River Valley Retreat is surrounded by bush and it isn’t uncommon for kangaroo, deer, wombats, and other wildlife to enter the house yard. Do not approach or feed any wild animals. Do not leave food unattended outside. Clean up food scraps, food wrappers, etc. from outdoor areas. Please be advised that you may have to keep your dog on a lead while outdoors as a precaution. Do not approach or feed livestock (cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, etc). A new fire pit has recently been added for guests to use. You are only allowed to light an outdoor fire in the fire pit. You are not allowed to light any fires otdoors anywhere else in the house yard or surrounding areas of the property. You are not allowed to move the fire pit.
