Peaceful loft room with bathroom & FREE parking
Description
The best of both worlds! The hustle and bustle of Brighton on the doorstep, but a spacious and serene space to relax afterwards. Located in a quiet, desirable suburb of Brighton, moments from the South Downs National Park, you will have a private bedroom with your own shower room in a recently renovated house. Just a few minutes drive from the M23 with space to park on the drive it couldn't be easier to get here. Perfectly located to explore all that both the city and countryside has to offer. The space The house is spacious 'chalet' style bungalow. Detached on a modest plot, there is a drive to park at least 3 cars and a has a newly landscaped sunny patio and decking area with planted beds leading out from the rear extension. Having undergone some major work it's a light, airy and modern house. All the main living rooms are on the ground floor with this, the guest's large 'master' bedroom and shower room located upstairs in the loft conversion. The house is located in postcode BN1 5LN on the outskirts of Brighton. Most suited to guests arriving by car with it's proximity to the M23, M27 and free parking on the drive. Travelling by public transport is pretty good too.. I'm on the No. 27 bus route which has regular busses running throughout the day (from c.6am) and night (till c. midnight), connecting up with train Brighton Station, the centre of the city, the hospital and beyond. Parking is quite difficult to find and very expensive when you do venture closer to the centre, so I really recommend leaving the car at the house while taking a bus into town to explore the city. Please just ask if you would like to park the car up early before check-in and similarly leave it at mine after check-out to extend your stay.. depending on my plans that's usually fine. Guest access Guests will have their own access through the front door (I always use the side door which is for mucky paws) into a hallway which leads to the main living rooms and stairs to the loft rooms. You are welcome to use what I'd term 'light facilities' in the kitchen - kettle, toaster, microwave & oven.. for simple quick and easy food preparation, meals and snacks like shop bought ready meals, rather than full on meal preparation. And to eat/drink at the kitchen island or in the dining area or patio when the weather allows. No access to the kitchen after 10pm. During your stay It's kind of nice to learn a little bit about my guests, but beyond pleasantries I'm happy to put the world to rights if you're up for it! If there's something you need but I'm not at the house I can usually be contacted on my mobile. If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to ask.. Other things to note I do have a very friendly middle aged dog who will welcome you at the door like you've just arrived with a roast chicken all for her! She quickly calms down though and will happily take as much or as little petting as you care to give her. She is also very quiet - does not bark or whine so you will not be disturbed by her. She has helped to cure peoples fear of dogs in the past, but if you really are afraid of dogs this isn't the place to stay. Whilst on the subject of roast chickens - please don't feed her anything, and please close your bedroom door if you have a bar of chocolate in your bag.. I'm sure you'd enjoy eating it far more than she or I will enjoy the trip to the vet, nor you the vet's bill. I should also say, whilst Brighton is a party city, I really don't enjoy or want to be hosting guests who are partying till the early/mid hours, spend all day in bed then order in a Deliveroo. Please get a hotel room in town - it's much better for everyone. Please read all the info here and if you would like to stay please send a message with a bit of info about you and your trip.. Thanks, look forward to hearing from you. Emma
