Description

The bothy has been converted to a unique level, combining the best of modern facilities and materials without sacrificing any of the original charm of this timber framed, slate roofed building. Enjoying unrivalled views across the Sugar Loaf and Black Mountains, the bothy is the perfect nest from which to embark on wide-ranging walks or snuggle up with a book while the weather passes across the enormous viewing window. The space The bothy has a private garden terrace and outdoor dining area with stunning views of the sugar loaf. Guest access The bothy has access to a private indoor heated swimming pool with exercise area, changing and washing facilities which can be booked exclusively for 90 minute slots at £30 or for an entire day of your stay at a cost of £125 per day. The pool is available to use between 9am and 4:30pm. Please contact the owner to enquire about reserving this beautiful amenity. Other things to note There are two great walks from the Bothy that we love: The first one goes “Up”! 1) walk back down the bothy track to the gate and road 2) turn left and follow the lane for 200m till you reach a farm on your right and a gateway on your left. 3) follow the steep drive up to your left which will take you right up to the hill fort (crug Hywel). 4) take a picnic and enjoy the view! Walk home the same way you went up. The second walk goes “Down”! 1) follow the track back to the lane 2) turn right and follow the lane for 50m 3) turn left and walk down into the village of llanbedr, to the church (and the pub) 4) at the church walk along the lane keeping the churchyard on your left. The lane become a dirt track which goes steeply down to the river. 5) cross the stone bridge and turn right walking along the river to the next stone bridge 6) cross the river again, follow the track steeply up and along the fields until it joins a lane 7) turn right on the lane and back into the village (stop at the pub), then retrace your steps back up to the bothy
