Welcome to the jungle. Cottage fully equipped located just 5 minutes away from Route 32, Guapiles. Get ready to have an unforgettable natural experience. Immersed in the jungle, the property has a private fall to look at and a swimming hole. You will see and hear birds, monkeys and a wide variety of wildlife. You can split the long trip between the Caribbean and San José spending one night here or, if you go to Pacuare River or to Tortuguero National Park, this is indeed your accommodation. Cottage in the mountain to relax and enjoy the nature. It is located just 15 minutes away from Guapiles, city where you can find supermarkets, stores of any kind, hospital, restaurants, bars, etc. The two main rooms are on the first floor. There is a third room (that is NOT part of the listing) that can be used optionally. It is located on the mezzanine and its access is by a sailor's staircase that is not suitable for everyone, but that delights the youngest. From San Jose & Airport, it will take you 1:45 hours to get to the house by car. It is not necessary a 4x4 vehicle. It is also possible to get there from Guapiles by taxi. The house is located just 5 minutes away from Route 32 and you can use it as a base to go to the white-water-rafting tours of the Pacuare or to visit Tortuguero National Park. La Pavona harbour is 56 km (36 miles) away. The house has all the modern facilities, WiFi and its kitchen is fully equipped. The tap water comes from a spring and its quality is quite good. It is at your discretion whether or not to buy bottled water to drink. There are trails, waterfall lookout and swimming hole with pristine waters, right in the property. It will take you just 2 minutes to get there. It is very frequent that wild visitors could come to join you, specially early in the morning. Monkeys, toucans, blue Morpho butterflies, birds and raccoons, among others, will welcome you. Keep in mind that the house is in the jungle. Sometimes, insects and spiders could be seen inside, but this is not a real problem (check the reviews from other guests). All the cottage is yours. Feel free to mark your home town. Self check-in I'll be reachable by phone or text messages anytime. The cottage is in a property surrounded by the river, the jungle and the street. There are no next door neighbors and there is complete privacy in the house and on the river. Accesible with any kind of vehicule. The cottage is located between San José and Puerto Limón, just 1:45 hours away from SJO Airport. It can be used as a base to go to the Caribbean beaches during the day and return at night, or take a tour to the Pacuare white-water-rafting or go to Tortuguero Canals from La Pavona pier, which is also very close. Just 5 minutes away from Route 32 and 15 minutes away from the city of Guápiles where you will find everything. The little town of Suerre is only 2 km away from the cottage and there you can find two small grocery stores. *** IMPORTANT *** The cottage is immersed in the mountain. A wide variety of animals is present in the area. The rainy season is almost all year round so rain is part of the nature of the area, but umbrellas are available. It is advisable to open the doors of the mezzanine and the balconies of the rooms so that there is good ventilation and there is no humidity. Power outages are rare but possible. There are candles, matches, a lighter and a flashlight at hand. When the power goes off, the internet has a battery that will keep it active for half an hour. If the audible alarm bothers you, you can cancel it by clicking the front battery button, but do not forget to click it back when the power returns. The kitchen sink does NOT have hot water but there is an electric kettle to boil water.
