Bottom Floor: South Suburban Townhome
Bottom Floor: South Suburban Townhome
Description
In the southern burbs, there's less traffic/crime, and more open space. Near grocers, bars, eateries. The downstairs level is entirely yours (the family room, sleeping area, guest bathroom). Please know the downstairs space has an open/accessible stairwell w/out a locking door. An engaged host, I ask to be home at the same time to chat and to host you, and I do ask guests to leave when I'm not home. Unless I'm home, the upstairs is not accessible. Mpls/SP are 25-30 mins away; MSP T1 is 25 mins. The space From the main entry, a short hallway leads to the downstairs stairwell, heading down to where guests will stay. There's a carpeted family room there that I never use (a leather sofa only), which is attached (i.e., open) to the adjoining sleeping area with a queen-sized bed, a dresser and nightstand. A guest bathroom (with a shower stall) is for guests. All of the level one (downstairs) is for guests only, yet there is no locking door to the downstairs area. That is important for guests to know. Guest access I do not currently (as of 4/15/26) have an access code nor key for guests, and I do expect to be home upon guest arrival (and for departure to be coordinated for when I leave for work, etc.). That may be different than hosts who are not on the property—where guests come and go as they please, yet the space is much cheaper than most AirBnB rentals to help compensate for that inconvenience. During your stay In the nascent days of AirBnB (when it was new), it was more about interacting with hosts than renting a room where nobody is onsite. Those days are seemingly gone and one rarely meets an actual person, let alone a host who is staying in the home concurrently. However, I am one of those hosts who’d engage if you’d like. Other things to note The check-in time can be flexible. Please read again that I do not have a key for guests, but that I ask to be home when a guest arrives, and that I ask a guest to leave when I’m not home. There may be flexibility to this upon meeting someone and determining scheduling.
