Description
The Cowshed is a unique, newly converted annexe in the garden of a 16th century listed house. It feels like a peaceful oasis and retreat from the modern world, yet is only a short distance to the historic market town of Godalming. The space The large open plan space includes a fully equipped modern kitchen, dining table and 4 chairs, as well as a comfortable sitting area with a large flat-screen TV. The sitting area has a sofa and 2 relaxing chairs which you can move around depending on whether you want to be sociable, watch TV or just sit and enjoy the view out to the garden. The first bedroom has a king sized bed and leads onto a contemporary en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and is next to the second bathroom, which also has a shower, basin and toilet. There is underfloor heating throughout and you can control the temperature in each of the rooms separately. The wide sliding doors from the living area open onto a large patio and overlook the beautiful garden. There is a bench on the patio, as well as garden table and chairs in the summer months. Let us know if you’d like to use the firepit or BBQ and we can set this up for you. Parking is available for three cars. If you want to bring bikes, we can arrange secure storage, just let us know in advance. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome. Guest access You'll have exclusive use of The Cowshed and are welcome to use the garden. If you have a dog, please keep it on a lead in the garden. Other things to note The Cowshed is next to a bridleway and has easy access to many lovely walks and bike rides. In the spring, summer and autumn, you can walk up the lane to Hilltop Kitchen, a lovely café and lunch spot with a view. It’s also a 10 minute walk from Farncombe Boat House and the National Trust towpath on the River Wey, where you can walk or cycle into Godalming or Guildford. If you’re looking for adventure on the river, you can rent canoes, kayaks or paddle boards from Roar Outdoor. They also offer lessons and tours. Farncombe Boat House rents out narrow boats. Godalming offers restaurants, cafés, independent shops and pubs. It also has Waitrose and Sainsbury’s. You can walk to Godalming in 20 minutes and it’s only a five minute drive into town.
