The home can comfortably accommodate 7 guests (max 5 adults) in 3 bedrooms and also offers a portacot for infants or small children. Come and enjoy your Mackay visit at this beautiful home in Slade Point! The space This spacious open-plan home features a large kitchen overlooking the patio area and backyard. The adjacent living and dining areas provide enough space for the whole family to enjoy evening meals together at the expandable 8-seater dining table. The main living area is air conditioned, with a recently installed split system aircon unit, offering cool comfort for the entire home during those hot and humid days. The fully equipped kitchen boasts a brand new oven with rotisserie and air fry function, multifunction microwave, and air fryer to ensure a comfortable stay. Complete with pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils, the kitchen fully caters for your gastronomic needs. A coffee machine is essential and of course is included. For those special celebrations you’ll find wine glasses to enjoy your favourite drop as you watch the sunset or a tropical shower roll in. The property can happily accommodate 7 guests in the 3 bedrooms. Freshly painted bedrooms all have air conditioning ensuring a comfortable sleep on the humid nights. Or make the most of beautiful plantation shutters to enjoy a sea breeze in the evenings. The main room hosts a king bed with additional reading nook which includes a wardrobe cupboard. A second bedroom contains a new queen bed and is completed with a tall boy to offer additional storage. The third bedroom has been tailored to accommodate three children on a bunk bed + trundle setup. The large bedroom contains a range of toys and books for all ages, with enough room for kids to hang out on the bean bags. Note: maximum number of adults is 5, utilising shared beds in main and second bedrooms (top bunk rated for children only). Please enquire if your guest group requires more than the beds available. In addition, a separate study space offers a peaceful area to catch up on any work, with large windows allowing plenty of natural light. A bathroom + separate toilet comes equipped with additional towels and of course beach towels, since Lambert’s Beach is just a few minutes walk away. A large laundry contains a washing machine and this is also where you will find a large fridge/freezer complete with water dispenser for a refreshing drink on hot afternoons. In the outdoor space you will find a new BeefEater Bugg ready to cook delicious dinners for the family and enjoy a few drinks around the outdoor table. A large backyard had plenty of room for kids to run around, or enjoy sitting around the fire pit on the cooler evenings. A covered carport in the front yard can house 1 vehicle, however there is plenty more room along the side of the property for an additional car or caravan. The house caters well to familys, especially those needing month-long stays near the Mackay hospital facilities awaiting the arrival of your bundle of joy, 12km from the Mater and 14km from Mackay Base. Designed to make those last few weeks as comfortable as possible particularly if older siblings need to be entertained. The house is "baby-friendly" with a pram, high-chair and portacot included in your stay. The uncertainty around delivery dates can make booking a property stressful, which is why we offer a more flexible cancellation policy for pregnant guests. The local area is jam-packed full of amazing things to see and do. The Seabreeze Hotel is a few minutes’ walk, but far enough away to not hear music late into the evening when their showcase events are in town. The seasonally-patrolled Lambert’s Beach is an equal distance away, or if you are up for the challenge the lookout is a great way to watch the sunrise over the ocean. Ram Chandra Park has a great playground including covered seating areas and taps to rinse sandy feet. The Mackay region hosts several attractions including the Lagoon, a free waterpark in the city centre, the Bluewater Trail, and loads of great places to eat and drink. Venturing futher, Cape Hillsborough is a fantastic place to see wallabies along the beach. Further afield, a visit to Eungella National Park and Finch Hatton Gorge are a must if visiting the region! A day trip to Airlie Beach, only 2 hours north, is a great addition to a family trip to Mackay. The surrounding areas of Sarina and Isaac region have endless places to explore, while the Family Beach House on Lambert’s offers the perfect place to enjoy your trip. Guest access The entire property is available to guests, and we hope you will make the most of the open-plan living areas, spacious bedrooms and large backyard. Other things to note Currently the shed is undergoing repairs and therefore currently unavailable to guests. If you might require use of the shed, please get in touch and we will do our best to accomodate you. Please also note that the property is not fully-fenced and so we are unable to accept pets at this time. If you require a service animal, please be aware that the side access is not gated. We offer the property as "child-friendly" and have tried to accomodate children of all ages, however we cannot guarantee that it is "child-proof", especially considering the unique requirements of every child. Please get in touch if there are specific requirements you need and we will do our best to accomodate. We offer a portacot for your stay for infants and small children, though do not include linen for this for their safety.
