Nestled on our croft is a beautifully furnished, spacious 6M bell tent. Inside you’ll find a cozy wood burning stove, comfortable king bed plus two singles, battery packs and lights for your convenience. Outside offers stunning views and a picnic bench to enjoy them from. A one minute walk up the hill is our *SHARED* shower room with flushing toilet, a kitchenette with kettle, microwave and toaster. *(NO HOB/OVEN)*, and a dining area with electric sockets, WiFi and a kids play area. The space 🌅 THE SETTING 🌌 Nestled on our croft in Fernilea, the bell tents offer a unique glamping experience on the Isle of Skye surrounded by nature and stunning views of Loch Harport and the breath-taking Cuillin Mountains. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, whether you're after a quiet retreat or a base to explore the island from. PLEASE NOTE - The paths to our tent might not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility. 🏕️ THE TENT - BLUEBELL 🪻 The tent, one of only two on our croft, is a spacious 6 metre bell tent, lovingly designed and equipped with added touches to ensure a comfortable stay. Furnished with a king-size bed, a low single bed plus an armchair (folds out into a single bed) the tent sleeps up to 4 people, making it ideal for families or a small groups of friends. (We can provide an additional travel cot for children aged 2 and under) The wood-burning stove keeps things cosy in the evenings, and the full insect netting on the doors and windows lets you enjoy the fresh air without worrying about the midgies. Although the tent is off-grid battery-powered lights and a power bank for charging small devices like phones and tablets are provided. 🍽️ THE SHARED SPACE 🚿 A short walk 1 minute walk up the hill takes you to the communal area, housed in our big green shed. Here, you’ll find a SHARED shower room with hot water, a toilet, and a basin. There’s also a kitchenette with a sink, toaster, kettle, and microwave—perfect for preparing simple meals. *NO HOB/OVEN* We provide some basic breakfast items like tea, coffee, milk, bread, and cereal. The dining area has a table for each tent, and has an adjoining kids play area. Wi-Fi and charging points are available too, though if you’re here to disconnect, it’s easy to do that as well. **Some of our facilities have changed since 2024/2025, so older reviews may not reflect the current setup.** 🚗 PARKING 🚙 Parking is available on site. We have car parking spaces next to THE SHARED SPACE, or you are welcome to park down the hill next to the tent although the driveway may not be suitable for all vehicles. 🌳 THE AREA 🏔️ Just 5 minutes by car (or a scenic 30-40 minute walk) from Carbost. the village is home to the Talisker Distillery, which you can tour if you’re interested. On the way there, you’ll pass the Oyster Shed, popular for its seafood. The village community shop sells basic groceries, The Old Inn pub and restaurant has great food and weekly live music , and our local coffee shop Caora Dubh is perfect for a snack or hot drink. The shore of Loch Harport is a nice short walk, and there is also a children’s play park if you're traveling with little ones. A bit further along the road, (approx 10 minutes) you’ll find Cafe Cuil, an award winning cafe ran by local chef which serves some of the best food in the area. And of course, we’re just 20 minutes from the famous Fairy Pools. Our area offers plenty of walks, beaches, and scenic spots, all just a short drive away.
