Escape the city and drive up the lush driveway to our beautiful 1850s historic farmhouse. Take an evening swim in the heated pool or enjoy your coffee on the quiet patio with the sound of chirping birds. Surrounded by trees the property allows for privacy and space, with two fire pits where you can roast s'mores under the bright stars of the Hudson Valley. Please note this is an older home from the 1850s, it is freshly updated with central air conditioning and modern appliances but there are some quirks (doors that don't open) and the odd squeaky floorboard! As designers ourselves and antique enthusiasts we have carefully curated and sourced all of the pieces in the home. Over 90% of the furniture is antique and is shoppable! Location: Conveniently located between multiple hubs including Amenia, Rhinebeck, Millbrook, Millerton, Red Hook, Pine Plains and Hudson there are endless opportunities for shopping, restaurants, hiking and exploring. We're also a quick 12 minute drive from the legendary Stissing House rated in the top 5 of America's Best New York restaurants by the New York Times. It's also Martha Stewart's favorite haunt, with crispy roast chicken like you've never tasted before. About the house: The house is privately located down a driveway on 5 acres and consists of 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a large living area, a media room, an office and a gorgeous solarium to soak in the sunshine. The 3 bedrooms are located upstairs. The primary bedroom contains a King bed, an en suite bathroom and a large dressing area with a picturesque window seat. The second oversized bedroom contains a king bed and a spacious closet. The third bedroom is a cozy room with two comfortable twin beds. The second bathroom upstairs is shared between the two other guest rooms. Downstairs the media room has a queen pull out bed with a memory foam mattress and an ensuite powder room. What we provide: To make sure your stay is as comfortable and easy as possible, we will have (almost) everything covered. We provide shower toiletries i.e. shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, bath towels, beach towels, linens and a full kitchen (microwave, electric stove with cookware, kettle, toaster, juicer, two ovens). Rules: Max 8 guests per home is strictly enforced. We have outdoor security cameras to protect our guests and our property. There is no access to the barn provided to guests. There is a zero tolerance for smoking on site and / or disrespectful behavior to our home. This is a historic home that we have placed a lot of love and respect into, so please respect our home as much as we do! No unsupervised children. All guests must be 25 or older unless a parent / legal guardian is present during the length of the stay. The pool is heated and is open annually from May 12th - September 12th. NO PETS. Guest access The house is located down a driveway, with plenty of parking space. There is a large barn, that you will not have access to situated at the top of the driveway next to the pool. The house is set below the driveway down a set of steps and can be accessed through the kitchen door. Other things to note This is a shoppable home!
