Welcome to our one-of-a-kind Turret property, a bijoux abode nestled in a charming village on the edge of the Forest of Dean. This unique 1-bedroom haven is perfect for couples or small families seeking a blend of historic character and modern luxury. Combined living area /small kitchen and shower room downstairs , upstairs is the bedroom with the open ceiling/turret with a mini balcony overlooking garden. Small garden at front . child bed available on request and dogs welcome The space Property Features: Bedroom: Our cosy turret bedroom features a plush queen-sized bed, enveloping you in comfort after a day of exploring. A small 2 person balcony offers a place to hear the birds while drinking a morning coffee while modern insulation ensures a peaceful sleep. The stairs up to the bedroom are open and a little steep for little legs ( kids or doggies ) so please ask about this . it's an open staircase with wooden slatted steps so sometimes small dogs can find it hard to ascend or descend .also possibly hard to navigate for unstable elderly or heavily pregnant ladies. please note it's not a suitable place for crawling or cruising babies as there is no Stairgate. Living Area: The living space is elegantly furnished, combining contemporary design with a touch of traditional charm. The downstairs of the cottage is combined with kitchen and shower room , it is small but comfortable and perfect formed . A smart TV and high-speed WiFi keep you connected and entertained. Kitchen: A well equipped modern kitchen awaits, ( please note it is a combined air fryer table top oven ) an induction hob , toaster , kettle etc , perfect for whipping up romantic dinners or quick breakfasts. Fresh coffee beans and grinder are supplied , tea , milk bread etc . High-end appliances, including a dishwasher, make your stay convenient and hassle-free. Bathroom: Indulge in the luxury of a newly fitted bathroom, complete with a massive shower, fluffy towels, and complimentary toiletries. Outdoor Space: Enjoy your private outdoor small front garden , ideal for morning coffees or evening relaxation. please note we are set back from the main road so there might be traffic noise at certain times .There is a lovely ( secure( we cannot 💯 guarantee ) at the back of the property perfect for early morning /evening dog walks . It is a short stroll through our wild and wonderful garden and we would be happy to personally take you there , or ask for directions if you’d like to use this space . Please note the front garden is not secure so dogs must be kept on a lead for toileting at the front of the property . (currently closed for refurbishment) Village Shop: Find everything you need in the nearby shop, celebrated for its local produce and friendly service. Activities: Walking & Hiking: Explore numerous trails in the Forest of Dean, suitable for all levels. Mountain Biking: Test your skills on varied terrains, from gentle rides to challenging trails. This is one of the best spots in the UK and good in all-weather Canoeing: Paddle down the River Wye, enjoying the stunning scenery and tranquil waters. Guest access The property is adjacent to the main house. Key is accessed via combination keylock outside. Other things to note We have a semi circle drive with two entrances /exits. We generally leave the second entrance opposite the cottage as a driveway for our guests so they can come and go as they please . We use the entrance opposite the main house and come and go from here . Some guests park up on the grass , some park close by on the drive next to the cottage . Please note this entrance /exit can be tricky to get out of as the traffic can be fast coming round the corner . If we are here we would be happy to guide you out if you’d like extra help .
