NEW! Lakefront escape for 6 + shared dock!

Featuring high ceilings, large windows, and stunning Lake Mineral views, this retreat offers expansive indoor and outdoor spaces--and ducks! The shared property (one other rental, shared dock, and a sweet, unlisted cabin you can add to your house rental - ask us!) and outbuildings are rich in the town's milling history. Conveniently situated in "downtown" Mineral, our home has easy access to hiking, fishing--you name it! Perfect for families/groups seeking a peaceful getaway. The space The house is located on a 2-acre property with direct lake access and views. Bring your own small boat or paddleboard, or rent one of our kayaks for $20 a day. If you fancy a swim, there's a public boat launch 1/4 mile down the road for jumping, or you can take a floatie or small craft out from the dock on the property out toward the middle of the lake and jump in from there (we don't recommend swimming straight from our dock). This location is about as central as you can get in sleepy Mineral; head across the street for a burger at Headquarter's Tavern and groceries (and fishing licenses!) at the Mineral Lake Market. Guest access The whole house is yours, including a large deck and ample off-street parking. The 2-acre property itself is shared. We have another rental down the hill from you, and the dock and lakefront area are shared with those guests. You may also occasionally see a few friendly neighbors on the dock as well as they stow their boat there. As an FYI, I'm working to build out my dream here on this property, which includes renovating a large old workshop and bathhouse (this whole property used to be part of a lumber mill!) My mom or I might be around sometimes, working on the outbuildings - but the house and yard are your own and we'll be careful not to disturb. Other things to note In addition to the main house, we've had a wonderful time refurbishing the building that, during Mill days, was the bathhouse for the workers. And now we are ready to share it! We don't plan to provide this cabin as a separate rental, so can't link to a listing - but if you click through the photos in this one, you can see it. You may add it to your rental for $160/night, which includes the cleaning. This sweet little cabin sits about 25 feet from the main house and is plenty warm and cozy. With a queen bed, a simple kitchen and composting toilet (not smelly!) the only thing it lacks is a shower - for that, head to your friends in the main house.
