Otonabee River/Rice Lake Cottage

Conveniently situated only 10 minutes from Peterborough and Northumberland, you can spend your days adventuring in these charming villages or never leave the beach - its your vacation - you choose! The space Only 10 minutes south of Peterborough and an hour east of the GTA. Enjoy 1 of the 6 cottages at Wildwood Cottages - a 6.5 acre tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of your daily life! Being on the Otonabee River just minutes from Rice Lake we are apart of the Trent Severn Waterway. There is amazing fishing from the dock, kayak or you can even rent a boat for the day right on site! We do not provide linens - the beds will have mattress protectors, pillows and pillow protectors that are changed between each guest. There is a queen, double and single. There are no blankets, linens or towels provided. Note we do have AC but it is an extra cost - you will be required to sign an agreement with us to ensure you understand how to operate it. Extra cost will be based on number of days you are wanting to use it. We are pet friendly. Your first pet is free. Max is 2 pets please and the additional pet is $30 per stay. Poop and scoop is mandatory. Dogs must be kept quiet and under control at all times and are not to be left unattended in the cottages. We reserve the right to ask you to leave the cottage with no refund if you do not follow the rules for pets. Guest access The road to the cottage is a shared private road Other things to note As we are apart of Wildwood Cottages, you have the ability to use any of the non motorized water equipment free of charge including kayaks, canoes and standup paddleboards. Our beach area and dock area are shared but only for those staying with us. We also have fishing boat, pontoon boat and seadoo rentals right on site! Have your own boat - we can provide docking for a small fee and can provide you with directions to the several free public launches. We will also give you directions as to where to leave your boat trailer once it has been launched.
