Oakwood cottage, Greenmount

Ideally situated between the Swan Valley and the Perth Hills, this authentic settlers cottage with extension is tucked away on the Greenmount hill, 5 minutes from Midland and all the amenities you need, yet has a peaceful outlook with lovely views. Across the highway is the popular Goat Farm mountain bike track, and Greenmount National Park. The space This is a typical hills weatherboard with many original features like jarrah floors and an open fireplace. It’s also wonky and rustic in parts. It’s not suitable if you like modern, pristine spaces. The rambling gardens are a work in progress and as of March 2026 a new pool will be installed. Guest access The whole house and large garden and pool area is exclusive to guests Other things to note The house is just off the Great Eastern highway which is a busy traffic route to the hills and wheatbelt. You may feel close to the road as you drive in, but once inside you won’t notice too much. However the large bedroom does experience some traffic noise, if you are a light sleeper you may prefer one of the other bedrooms. You may also notice planes overhead as we are under some flight paths. Please also note the attic bedroom is accessible only by a wooden ladder and opens onto the rooftop.
