Cederhuset on Södermöja
Description
Welcome to our beloved house far out in the Stockholm archipelago. Here, you stay with a view of the ocean and with your own boat. In this modern, architect-designed house, you can enjoy every conceivable amenity all year round. Here, you will find the communal village sauna, which extends the summer nights and makes the sea swimmable in the middle of winter. Welcome to the sea! The space The house is fully equipped for permanent living, and here you can live comfortably without lacking anything – except for the noise of the big city. We stay here for both shorter and longer periods, in summer and in winter. Here, we can work, and here, both children and grandchildren enjoy themselves. The floor plan is open, and there is some sound transmission between the rooms. Between the upper and lower floors, there is an open staircase without a door. There is a 140 cm bed here. The small bedroom on the ground floor has a sliding door and is equipped with a 160-cm pull-out bed. In the living room, there is a comfortable sofa that can be made into a bed. The wood-burning stove is easy to operate, and dry firewood is available in a well-stocked wood shed if you book a stay during the cold season. In the kitchen, there's everything you need – and then some. You are welcome to use the basic supplies provided; there are always spices, oil, vinegar, coffee, and tea here. The refrigerator and bar cabinet will be empty upon your arrival, but in the greenhouse and the garden, you are welcome to pick sun-ripened tomatoes, fruit, vegetables, and berries. Behind the house, we are building another house – for future grandchildren and tenants. Guest access You will have the house and the plot to yourselves Other things to note A battery-powered boat will be available for use. With it, you can get to the neighboring island of Möja, where there is a grocery store that is open year-round and restaurants that are open during high season (mid-June to the end of August).
