Beautiful Lake Front Studio on Lake Dunmore! Wake up to a mountain view and have a warm drink on your private screen porch! Centrally located for skiiers. Great for Ikon and Epic ski pass holders! Swim, kayak, hike, bike, play in the water fish, relax. Nordic & Alpine skiing in the winter, ice fishing, etc. Studio with full kitchen, full bathroom with tub shower. 15-20 minutes from Middlebury. Bike areas nearby. Water activities and sports are available on the lake. Animal overs only please Perfet for skiiers and skiier ICON and Epic ski pass holders due our central location of 3 ski areas! The Green Mountain National Forrest hosts beautiful hiking trails minutes away. Paddle, swim, fish, relax or do other awesome activities on the lake or right here at the house and dock. Our south cove gets less traffic than the main lake so water tends to be calmer with less traffic for swimming and snorkeling. The dock can be jumped off of at the long end or there is a ramp to walk down. It is not a sandy beach but is an excellent place to swim and is one of the cleanest lakes in the state. Excellent spot for skiing in the winter at Snowbowl, Pico, or Killington. This is a new space. It is also year-round with heat. Snow tires required in winter. Although technically this cozy quaint studio is the lower basement level of the house, there is plenty of light with glass french doors and full windows which open to a spacious screen porch. The screen porch is one of the best additions to the property and has a wonderful sectional couch, table, and chairs. Our lake also hosts the VT. Sun Triathlon Series; suitable for any level of athlete. Well-equipped kitchen with microwave, small oven, refrigerator, plenty of cabinets, WiFi plug-in to charge phones, a decent flat-screen TV with access to Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, and others. Dock on the water down the stairs. Private entrance. Our summer climate needs no AC. Other fans are available. YOU MUST LOVE ANIMALS! Our place is very clean but on occasion when we are cleaning the apartment our very clean cat will slip downstairs. Because of this if you allergic to pets and this could pose a problem for you, please rent elsewhere. YOU WILL HEAR footsteps and noises on the floor above you. We live upstairs. I also sometimes do woodworking in the adjacent shop so if you’re going to nap just let me know and understand that this is a possibility. Come on down to Hideaway Trail - our dirt through the trees to our small neighborhood. Guests park, walk a short distance across our lawn, and access the apartment down several marble stairs, and through the beautiful private screen porch. The dock, porch, and cozy studio living space, complete with a full kitchen and bath await. Great neighborhood for walks and swimming and even ice fishing in the winter with skiing not far away. Our lake cove has a water speed limit of 5mph which makes for safer swimming and less boat traffic than other areas on the lake. Two kayaks, a canoe, a paddle board, and a clean lake await. We, your hosts, and our friendly furry family (2 older dogs and three cats) live in the house upstairs and spend some time on the dock as well. If we are home you will probably hear us. We are here for you if you have e questions and if you need anything we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Close knit community respectful of others and we expect the same for guests. Overall this is a very peaceful place- especially in winter. You must however agree not to go onto the neighbor's property if you are to book with us. It is a short walk across the lawn and down a few stairs to get to your door. We always need verbal confirmation that you understand where you are going before you get here so please call us once you book. Car- in a winter storm you should have/must have 4 wheel or all wheel drive OR at least snow tires. If you don't and get stuck, we may not be home to help. Please park by the shed. Refasten any gates that you open. Pets are friendly. In winter snow tires are helpful but not usually needed.
