TRAVELLING WITHOUT A CAR/BACKPACKER? From Oslo there is a bus to Fagernes several times a day, as well as daily departures from Gjøvik, Lillehammer, Gol and Bergen. From the apartment it is about 350 meters to the bus stop that runs along the E-16. DETAILED DESCRIPTION: Just below the apartment there is a nice playground that is used extensively by the local permanent residents. The apartment is located on the ground floor of our newly built single-family home in a central and well-established residential area just south of Fagernes city center, "Moaskogen" with good sun conditions and an impressive panoramic view over the Strandefjord. Appliances: The apartment has a space adapted and modern kitchen in dark gray design with integrated appliances such as a smaller refrigerator under the kitchen counter, stove with a stove in the countertop, dishwasher, as well as a free standing fridge and freezer. Parking: Private free exterior parking space, as well as the possibility of interior parking with electric car charger for a price surcharge. Please reach out about this as needed! Animal husbandry: We are positive about livestock, but must not be a nuisance to the neighborhood. We ask that these be kept away from the bathing facilities and secured on a leash when staying outside the apartment. Animal husbandry will provide additional charge via cleaning fee. Heating: Electric heating via freestanding electric oven, as well as heating cable in floor in bathroom/laundry room. The wood stove in the pictures can only be used for decoration and not heating. The apartment has also installed balanced ventilation. This is a fan system that supplies fresh, purified air and pulls out used air. Most of the heat from the old air is transferred to new air, which is distributed evenly and fully heated around the apartment. Besides a healthier indoor climate, this is great for those who, for example, are bothered by allergies or asthma, and are sensitive to dust. From the apartment there is a decent walking distance to all Fagernes facilities with about 1.2 km walk to the center of Fagernes with a lit walk/bike path that provides convenient access to good services. There are great hiking opportunities in the nearby area such as the viewpoint Kviteberg as a nice hiking destination. Between Fagernes and Leira you can bike or walk the paved walkway along Strandefjorden, a cozy boardwalk or you can use the city bus between Leira and Fagernes, which on weekdays runs every half hour. In Fagernes center you will find, among other things, 24-hour gas station, cozy cafes, restaurants, a wide selection of shops and shopping center. Fagernes has a rich tourist life all year, but especially summer has its own charm. Several concerts, dance events and various entertainment are held, and here it is played and danced throughout the summer. In the Fagernesparken along the beach promotion there are activities for people of all ages. Here you will find among other things a play park, sand volleyball, swimming areas, paddle tennis, pump-track track, running track, multisport field and skate park. Vesleøya is also a popular hiking area at Fagernes. Leira town centre is a short walking/bike ride away and has in recent years developed into a separate trading centre with shops and shopping centre. In addition, there is a gas station, Burger King, Valdres Storhall with climbing hall and activity hall, mountain biking, frisbee golf, Strandefjorden leisure park with, among other things, nice swimming opportunities, campsite, etc. It is possible to rent sports and leisure equipment from the BUA Valdres in Valdres Storhall. Guest access You have access to the whole apartment with your own private entrance during your stay. Parking area and garden area are shared with the host.
