Thors Cave is reachable by the Manifold Valley cycle track, which can be accessed in nearby Waterhouses Village, or at Wetton Mill. The Roaches, for more challenging walking and spectacular views, is 22 mins by car. Its possible to walk from the Roaches to Wincle Brewing company on the side of the River Dane about a 6 mile walk) The Churnet Valley Steam Railway is only 5 mins by car Whiston Hall 18 hole golf course is 1 mile way Supermarkets in Cheadle (11 mins by car),Leek (14 mins) and ashbourne(22 mins). Local Grocery/post office (8 mins) The Fox and Goose Pub in Foxt does decent food at reasonable prices and is 5 mins away by car. The Famous Yew Tree Inn , Cauldon , is a very quirky, historic pub, and is definately worth a visit. reiews and directions are on Google. Bedroom 2 with two single beds has a low doorway.
