The space Our apartment is on the first floor of a former farm and thus offers an excellent viewing platform over the Baltic Sea, to the west, to the Swedish coast. The property is located on an approx. 8-hectare natural property with a spacious garden that offers further opportunities for rest and relaxation On the approx. 25 m² roof terrace, you can observe the entire ship traffic on the Baltic Sea and the absolute "highlight" in the evening are the unforgettable sunsets in the sea. The apartment is accessible via a separate external staircase and offers a completely self-contained residential unit. Whether at the dining table or cozy on the sofa, the large panoramic windows offer a fantastic view at any time of the day and in any weather. So you can just relax and enjoy the vacation even on cold days with a cozy fire in the oven. The apartment offers technical equipment with all common household appliances incl. dishwasher and washing machine, as well as 2 x smart TV with all Danish/German/Swedish channels, Bluetooth box and a fiber optic high-speed Internet connection (500 Mbit up/down), which can also be used as a remote workstation without problems. The energy supply is largely covered by its own solar system, heated by heat pumps and the associated forest supplies firewood and ensures a balanced CO2 balance. We have our own charging station for electric vehicles for our guests. At the end of the stay, we can easily bill the charging current separately. Pets are also welcome guests, but due to the stairs, these companions should be portable. The adjacent "Ringedalen Forest", which belongs to the property, invites you to take extensive walks and should not be missing in any Bornholm travel guide. The starting point for cycling tours and hikes to explore the beautiful nature of North Bornholm is also perfect. Other things to note Our house is located on the edge of the small fishing village of Vang, on a slope about 82 meters above the water level. This guarantees an unrestricted view of the Baltic Sea to the Swedish coast. The small harbor is about a 10-minute walk away and offers one of the best restaurants on the island (LePort) as well as two other cafés (Misty + Solvangen) to linger. In the gallery at the harbor, changing art exhibitions take place in summer. Vang is also known for its long-standing granite production in the nearby quarry (Ringebakkerne quarry). It has been closed for about 30 years and now offers a variety of "outdoor activities" and is especially popular with climbers due to the steep rock faces. The associated former jetty was transformed into a small bathing lagoon and offers a springboard, the former quay wall, and a small beach for sunbathing. An unforgettable hike leads along the coast - to the north – to the largest castle ruin in Northern Europe "Hammershus" (about 1.5 h – 2 h) Alternatively, there is an equally impressive hiking trail - to the south – to "Jons Kapel" (about 1 hour) Unfortunately, it must also be mentioned at this point that the small town of Vang has no shopping facilities. For this you have to either drive north to Allinge (about 6 km) or south to Hasle (about 7 km). Vang is under Hasle for postal purposes (see address), but is located about 7 km north of Hasle and is its own small town.
