This charming and quietly located chalet is located in Braunwald, a unique and car-free family oasis, and offers a breathtaking view of the Glarus Alps. The chalet can accommodate 12 people, divided into 5 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms, and has a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living room with wood stove, children's facilities, a sunny balcony and spacious garden. From the chalet you can walk straight to the ski lifts and explore the family-friendly skiing and hiking area. The space The attractive Chalet Heidi is a beautiful chalet that can accommodate a total of 12 people. Ideal for large families or a pleasant holiday with several families together. The chalet is also very fully furnished. Chalet Heidi is divided as follows: Bottom floor: * Bedrooms: 1 bedroom with a double bed (180cm), 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds (90cm) & cupboard with baby set * Bathrooms: 1 bathroom with sink, shower and WC * Washer and dryer Middle floor: * Kitchen * Dining and sitting room with wood-burning stove * TV room * Bathroom with sink, bath and toilet Top floor: * Bedrooms: 1 bedroom with a double bed (180cm) and ensuite bathroom (2 sinks, shower, toilet), 1 bedroom with a double bed (180cm), 1 bedroom with a double bed (140cm) * Bathrooms: 1 bathroom with sink, bath, toilet Furthermore, Chalet Heidi is perfect for families with children. For the little ones, there is a camping bed, high chair, changing mat, potty, toilet seat reducer and back carrier. And for the kitchen master(s), there is a Soda stream (gas bottles are available), Nespresso machine (bring your own cups!), kettle, cheese fondue, orange juicer, hand blender, toaster and two ovens (steam and hot air). Finally, there is also a microwave available. Chalet Heidi also has a large private garden and a spacious balcony. And for those who need it: WIFI is also available in the chalet. Other things to note Braunwald is located in the Glarus Alps and is still relatively undiscovered by the general public. It will not be busy and massive in Braunwald, as it is a car-free village that can only be reached by funicular. There is a lot to do in Braunwald for the whole family, both in summer and winter. Braunwald has therefore been designated as a Swiss Family Destination. A supermarket, kiosk and ski shop are located around the Braunwaldbahn. In the higher part (Schwettiberg) where Chalet Heidi is located you will find a small supermarket (SL Schwettiberg Lädeli). This small supermarket is about an 8-minute walk from Chalet Heidi and here you can get bread, as well as the most important foodstuffs and drinks. It is wise to order bread and meat one to a few days in advance as they are not replenished daily. Finally, don't expect a 'shopping paradise' and mega stores. It doesn't hurt to bring some special supplies/groceries with you. In most places you can simply pay by card, but sometimes you may still need cash.
