Roomy self-contained annex near Highclere Castle

Within 5 minutes drive of Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey) set in the North Wessex area of outstanding natural beauty on the edge of a dark sky area. Close to Newbury, 1 hour to Oxford, Windsor, Bath, Winchester and Stonehenge. London 1 hour by train from Newbury Station 15 minutes away. There are a variety of places to eat close by ranging from cosy pubs to fine dining restaurants. Vine Annex sleeps 4 one king sized double, one single and one small single in twin room. The space There is a spacious sunny living/dining/kitchen with a television with access to Sky, Netflix and Disney plus. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso machine. The welcome pack includes teas, coffee, milk, bread and butter. The living area has ample seating. The main bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has a standard single and a small single. There is a large bathroom with a bath and separate shower. The bathroom offers Wild England products. Outside the property is accessed through its own gate and there is parking for two cars. The parking area and path to the front door are well lit. There is a small grassed area with decking and a table and chairs seating 6. The property is a short walk from the ancient woodland of Great Pen Wood offering beautiful walks and other walking is available within 20 minutes drive. There is a Little Waitrose and a Sainsbury’s local within 2 miles and Newbury has a wide variety of supermarkets. Several pubs are within 5 minutes drive of the property. Please note we do not allow charging of electric cars. Guest access Guest have exclusive use of the property with the host next door in the main house.
