Our location is a very unique, private and secure three and a half acre property and is located right in front of the ocean of the Central Pacific, not a buggy 'ocean view' as others offer. You can relax in the shade of one of the many coconut palms near the waters edge and still watch the waves rolling in and the boats fishing in the distance. We also hang hammocks in a shady almond grove between the house and beach. Never crowded at our location and the ideal property for relaxing. The apartment is on ground level, so no stairs to climb. There are also 2 outdoor showers to rinse off the sand when returning from the beach. Bring your own beach towels. The apartment is fully equipped with full size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc. All amenities of home. We can also lend you a cooler to take to the beach. There are fans supplied and A/C is available for a small additional charge. As our guest, you will have access to rental boogie boards for playing in the surf, for a very small fee. Also, if you would like to try your hand at surfing, we have a long surf board. Included in your rental is WiFi, which has great range and can reach to hammocks located among a grove of almond trees between the home and beach. Unfortunately, data is somewhat limited in Costa Rica since the de-regulation two years ago.. This year we are only able to purchase 20gb at a time,so we ask you to regulate it a bit. However, is available any time for searching, emailing, etc when required, just not suitable for streaming movies or videos and such. We hope to be able to up grade to satellite service supposedly coming later this year, which we expect will improve plan limits. We are living in the main home above and are available to offer any assistance required, such as exploring the Isla, translating to Spanish, aiding in booking of any/all tours, or directing to the various sights and activities available in our area. 24 hr. security. We have various vehicles available to get you to town or around the Isla to fulfill your shopping or other needs. Arrival and departure transportation to/from the Quepos crossing by a fun ATV ride along the beach at low tide is included in our price, while other transportation costs vary depending on circumstance. IE: For extra trips to/from the crossing we only charge enough to cover gas ($5 each way). We are about 3 km/ a 30-40 minute walk from the crossing. An adventurous and informative tour of the Isla is also available. We also maintain a 4 wheel drive SUV, so you can hire us for touring to mountains, waterfalls, vanilla farms etc. or other sight seeing. If you wish to drive to our location there's a new road, though humpy and bumpy, with 4 wheel drive, you can drive directly to our location. If not, secure parking is available very near the ferry crossing in Quepos crossing for $10/24 hr/ day. Prices subject to change. If you don't want to rent a car, we can pick you up or take you back to SJO airport or your hotel for only $150 ea. way, vs. taxi which runs $180-$200. Check ahead for availability. We are on Isla Damas which means you need to cross a small river by ferry boat which costs only c250 (about $0.50) each and is only about 100 meters across. From either downtown Quepos or the boat crossing, we will greet you and transport you to our location. Update Jan/25: We now have the beginnings of a summer road to the Isla. A bit rough and humpy, but possible to drive to our place by 4 x 4 without a problem. OVERFLOW ACCOMMODATIONS available for up to 5 more persons in the 3rd story loft in main house. One Queen and one set of custom bunks (queen lower and large single upper) as well as it's own bathroom, 2 balconies and separate entrance. It is recommended you bring with you an un-locked cell phone so you can purchase a very inexpensive and efficient pre-paid cell phone chip while traveling here. All calls are local in C.R. and you don't pay for incoming calls. Tipping out Yami for providing laundry and housekeeping services, or Emeliano for keeping you well supplied with coconut juice during your stay is much appreciated by them. Update 2025 There is work being done to develop a road to our area. while still rough, it is quite passible, although we have had guests this year who were able to travel to and fro with 2 wheel drive.
