The space Enjoy glamping in a brand new, rustic tiny cabin at Kenora Bed 'n' Bale. Bunkie 18 theme is "Rancher". (~108 sq ft plus loft ~90 sq ft). This site fits 4 people, with king upstairs and double bed upstairs. A/C and electric fireplace in the cabin. No plumbing, but the new Shower House with flush toilets (mid-May to Sept) is right across the lane. Charming outhouse (year-round) and outdoor shower (mid-May to Sept) are also available, just down the trail. Water hose (mid-May to Sept) beside the bunkie, with city water for washing, drinking. Use of campground paddlecraft, library, farm visits included. Guests can book our Barnyard Breakout Escape Room activity for half price. Bring your own bedding, pillows, towels to save the linen fee. We are an ideal spot for eco-friendly families and retirees who want to share and enjoy our peaceful atmosphere (not a party spot). Quiet time 10pm-7am. Our acreage is right in the city, and is fenced in and gates are locked at night. Check in is 3-6 pm, during daylight hours to get a lay of the land, as Kenora is in the rugged Canadian Shield. Guest access Site 18 “Rancher” Bunkie includes access to the full tiny cabin with loft, covered deck, balcony, toaster oven, coffee maker, propane BBQ, parking for 1 passenger vehicle beside the cabin. Shared access to: water hose near the cabin; shower house with flush toilets and the outdoor shower (open mid-May to Sept), outhouse (open year-round), visits with the farm animals and horses; group fire pit area and free firewood; free use of kayaks, paddle boards, canoe; campground library of books, games & puzzles; paid laundry facilities. Public access to: surrounding forest trails and small natural sand beach (3 min hike). Other things to note Note, the bunkie is CAMPING, though more comfortable & glamourous ("glamping"). Rancher Bunkie has a heater/air conditioning, beds, fridge/freezer, BBQ, a few cooking utensils. No plumbing, but the new Shower House with flush toilets (mid-May to Sept) is right across the lane. A water hose (mid-May to Sept) is just outside with city water is beside the bunkie, for washing up and drinking. Charming outdoor shower (mid-May to Sept) and outhouse (year-round) are also nearby. Oct to May, you can visit the Kenora Recreation Centre for showers, when you get a pass for swimming, water slide, hot tub. Bring groceries to prepare simple meals, or order food right to your door. Coffee, whitener, sugar, instant oatmeal, hot chocolate are provided. BYO linens (bedding, pillows towels), or rent our linens - additional fee. Book 3+ nights and linens are no extra charge. See our pet policy. Our animals are friendly, and you are visiting their home. Expect some to visit you - our farm cats and the chickens range around the Rancher Bunkie. The sheep, goats, and guest horse paddocks are across from the cabin. If you love animals, this is the destination for you. Guests must have the ability to climb 3 steps into the cabin, and be able to climb the log ladder if you wish to get to the loft, or tent's bunk bed. Check-in is 3-6 pm, so that you can enjoy the amenities and get a lay of the land during daylight - the area is rugged, and we want to avoid late arrivals disturbing other guests. Gates are locked around 8 pm, but guests are provided the code on check-in day. Quiet time 10pm-7am.
