Authentic Fishermans Cottage

Set in the heart of Porthlevens' conservation area this authentic Cornish fishermans cottage has plenty of rustic charm. A mere 2 minute walk from the harbour and town centre, this charming cottage is a peaceful haven and perfect after a day of exploring. Whether you enjoy the summer months harbour jumping, crabbing and visiting the nearby sandy beaches, or the cooler season storm watching and cosying up in the evening, this is the perfect stay. Locally owned, maintained, managed and serviced. The space Enter via the private courtyard garden to a conservatory which leads into a large lounge. The seperate dinning room with log burner seats 6 and is full of authentic character. Kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a large double. Bedroom 2 has two bunkbeds and bedroom 3 has a single bed. Also upstairs is a bathroom with bath, electric shower and toilet. This is a terraced house and you are likely to hear noises from our neighbours and vice versa. They are lovely btw. There is a seperate outbuilding with washing machine and tumble dryer. You will have access to this and be able to store surfboards, bikes or other stuff as you need. Guest access Entrance to the cottage via a quiet offroad pedestrian lane to enjoy the whole cottage to yourself during your stay. Other things to note Our family has owned this cottage for many years. It is an historic property dating back to 1860. Cottages like this were built using techniques and materials unique to Cornwall. Lime mortar and lime based paints are used to properly maintain the buildings ability to breath. The Lime mortar in the lounge was freshly applied this summer and is still "learning to breath". It's bare at the moment and we hope you like it. Maybe we will paint it in summer .... maybe not. Let us know your opps ;-)
