Deep in the woods. This is the little name we gave our Scandinavian-style lodge, which is like a well-kept secret in the middle of the forest. A rare and privileged location . A unique and unusual place where we invite you to experience forest immersion. An invitation to slow down and observe! The space In Reipertswiller ( labeled Etoilé Village du Ciel et de l’environnement ) . There are a host of hikes to do in the area and wonderful sites to discover: peat bogs, castles galore, bodies of water to swim in surrounded by wilderness, museums etc. impossible to get bored! Located in the north of Alsace, in the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park (classified as a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO), 55 minutes from the European capital Strasbourg, our 75 m2 souvenir factory can ideally accommodate 4 people: 2 bedrooms: 1 bed 160X200 + 1 bed 140X190 // (+ 1 baby umbrella bed with mattress on request) PLEASE READ THIS DESCRIPTION BEFORE MAKING YOUR RESERVATION: We would like to inform you in advance of some essential points to know. Thank you for your attention ;) : - Rental open only to experienced guests - We do not have a TV, but a good Wi-Fi connection that will allow you to watch your movies on your computer or tablet - The house is isolated, 2 security cameras are installed outside. The one at the front door will remain active, and the second will be deactivated when you arrive. -THE PARTIES ARE NOT ALLOWED. Although the house is isolated, the idea is to have quiet evenings there, without loud music outside ;-) WHAT YOU WILL JOIN: We have a small body of water. We love to relax there facing the forest, even if it does not allow swimming, because it is home to a whole small ecosystem (frogs, dragonflies, newts etc...). If you are discreet and lucky, you can sometimes observe the Grey Heron and the rare and sublime Kingfisher in action from the house. In the morning depending on the season, ( especially from April to June) , this is the game of “Who is this bird?” In 2 minutes , no less than 13 different species, so we won't list them , but it's a real joy when you have breakfast . With the many board games , novels , magazines and comics , this cocoon offers us moments of breaks and escapes. We live here to the rhythm of the seasons: - Spring & summer , we spend our lives outside! We love swimming at Hanau Pond after a great hike . At home, we play Mölkky, croquet or badminton. We read and rest facing the forest on the deckchairs or in the 2-person hammocks, before preparing the barbecue. - In autumn and winter we love to look for animal tracks and mushrooms. Listen to the deer mating season, and that of the fox in February. Admire the misty or frosty forest atmosphere that reveals its white mantle Go back from a hike and get intoxicated with the smell of apple pie fresh out of the oven . We gather around a board game and in the evening enjoy a cheese fondue or raclette. The fireplace now accommodates LED candles, always offering that soft and enveloping glow that we love so much here, to accompany cozy evenings. In all seasons: We shudder with joy when we listen to the forest and its inhabitants. On the second "terrace" spot, we love to settle in the Chilean women to enjoy the sunset and the impressive view of the starry sky. We also take the opportunity to make a campfire ( excluding drought period) in the secure fire pit, wrapped in the plaids. In short , La belle vie!!! At the foot of the house, go directly on the forest paths for hiking, biking, jogging or even night walks (2 headlamps available). But here's a quick overview: 🌲 THINGS TO DO AROUND – Nature, culture & family Less than an hour away, the region offers a wide variety of nature, heritage and cultural experiences: Ruins, Playful Castles, Character Villages, Citadels, Troglodyte Houses, Wild Ponds, Spectacular Rocks and Glass Art Museums etc... 55 minutes away, Strasbourg offers a very nice urban getaway: iconic cathedral, canals, old town, museums and Alsatian lifestyle, before returning to the calm of nature.
