Enjoy the experience of a unique break in our house - a secluded chalet in the heart of the forest of the Parc naturel des Vosges du Nord in Alsace, 1 hour from Strasbourg. Here, time slows down: observe the animals, breathe in the deep calm of the forest, and enjoy incredible starry nights. !! This lodge is our favorite home. We only open it to experienced guests (recent positive reviews required) in order to preserve the tranquility and spirit of this special place. The space 🌲🦉🦌 “DEEP IN THE WOODS”: A NATURE & SLOW-LIFE LODGE (ALSACE) Experience full forest immersion. Welcome to our secluded cottage in the forest, a well-kept secret in Reipertswiller (a Michelin-starred village) in the heart of the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). A true “memory factory” with a Scandinavian feel, this is the ideal spot for those who want to listen to the forest and live to the rhythm of the seasons. Here, the scent of the forest envelops us and reminds us of how alive we are. ✨ THE SPIRIT OF THE PLACE: SLOW DOWN & OBSERVE Surrounded by forest and in deep tranquility. Our 75 m² cozy space (2 bedrooms, 2 double beds) is a true haven of inspiration, popular for getting away from it all, but also for eco-friendly remote work and creative writing and photography retreats. ● Digital Detox: No TV, but Wi-Fi for your projects. ● Library: We provide you with access to our library, which is stocked with comics, board games, novels, and nature guides to help you explore the local flora and fauna. 🍃 EXPERIENCING THE SEASONS ● Spring/Summer: We spend all our time outdoors! In the morning, we have fun identifying the birds at breakfast (13 species in 2 minutes, depending on the season!). We rest in the 2-person hammocks facing the forest, play a game of badminton, or go swimming in the Étang de Hasselfurth. (Brazier except during drought period!) ● Autumn/Winter: We shiver with joy listening to the deer's bellowing or the fox's mating in February. We sit on the terraces to admire the mist in the forest. We love foraging for mushrooms and tracking footprints in the frost, before heading back inside to enjoy a fondue or raclette. ● In all seasons: After a hike, we like to curl up in the deck chairs, wrapped in blankets, to admire the Milky Way without light pollution while listening to the owls. 🌌 EXPLORATION & HERITAGE Peat bogs, castles galore, swimming spots surrounded by wilderness, museums, and more—you can’t get bored! ● On-site: Wild pond (newts, dragonflies, frogs), wildlife watching, and tracking. Immediate departure from several hiking trails, including several to Château de Lichtenberg (direct access on foot or 5 minutes by car). ● Worth discovering: numerous castles, as well as picture-postcard villages (La Petite-Pierre, Hunspach, Saverne, Bouxwiller, Niederbronn-Les-Bains), and the Cleebourg vineyards ● Attractions: The spectacular “Colorado de Roppeviller” and its red rocks, the Maginot Line, the cave dwellings of Graufthal (unique in Alsace), the Chemin des Cimes Alsace hiking trail, the Lalique Museum, and the glassmaking expertise of Meisenthal... We look forward to hearing from you and, for the duration of your stay, to giving you the keys to the forest! ⚠️ THINGS TO KNOW: - Fireplace: To enjoy the magic of our cozy space, our glass-door fireplace is at your disposal from October 1st to April 30th. Since it's a little more complex to operate than a stove, we reserve it for experienced guests who are used to managing a fire! As our house is heated by a heat pump, this fireplace is only for your leisure time. A supply of wood calculated for the duration of your stay (based on a daily fire of 4 hours) is available upon your arrival. - Parties forbidden to preserve the magic of the place. Other things to note We put our hearts into preparing this cozy space, and we're counting on you to take care of it and leave it as clean and tidy as when you arrived. ✨
