Ty Pili Pala (Butterfly House) is a charming stone cottage nestled in the heart of Betws-y-Coed, just a short stroll from the shops, pubs and restaurants. Close to the bus & train stations and ample free parking. This is a great base for anyone wishing to discover the beauty of Eryri National Park. The space Welcome to Ty Pili Pala (Butterfly House), the house that has had Butterflies on it's walls for over 30 years! Ty Pili Palas is a recently refurbished (and extended) railwayman's cottage built in the 1890s. It is a cosy stone cottage which can accommodate up to 5 guests. Ground Floor To the front of the property is a raised open patio with seating for up to 4 people. Living/Dining room with electric fire, 32" Freeview Smart TV and DVD player. There are books, games and DVDs. Perfect for relaxation. Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and ample workspace. All amenities needed for an easy self catering stay. Patio doors open out into a small courtyard/patio with seating, perfect for a morning coffee and catching the morning sunshine. First floor Bedroom 1 with double bed Bedroom 2 with adult size bunk beds Bedroom 3 with single bed A spacious bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and washbasin. There is private parking for up to 3 vehicles which is located 75 metres away from the front door. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi included. Travel cot, highchair and baby gates available on request. You will find Ty Pili Pala right in the centre of the tourist hotspot of Betws-y-coed where you can leave your car and hop on a train or bus as they are practically next door! Great for accessing all of North Wales including the Wyddfa Sherpa bus. Betws-y-coed is known as the gateway to Eryri National Park and neighbouring towns and villages. This magical setting has a distinct alpine feel with walks from the door, either along the riverbank, round the nearby golf course or through leafy glades in the Gwydir Forest. For the more daring, Zipworld Adventure Park is close by and the renowned Gwydir Mawr mountain bike trail is 10 minutes away. When hunger strikes, treat yourself to a delicious meal at Hangin' Pizzeria, savour the diverse menu at the Grill Room at The Royal Oak Hotel, or even head to Olif where you can try some local Welsh dishes with a contemporary twist. Checking out the centre of the village of Betws-y-coed is a must where you can enjoy quaint independent shops, tearooms and more stunning natural beauty. Nestled into the Eryri National Park, this property is close to many fantastic water sport facilities, adventure sports, climbing, and hiking, so there truly is something for everyone. You can visit the coast at delightful towns such as Harlech, where you will find a castle and lovely sandy beaches. Experience all these delights and more during your stay at Ty Pili Pala.
