Axe Bell Tent is a cosy bell tent (sleeps 2-4) has both double and a single beds and a cot is available if needed. Furnished with charming and quirky flea market finds for individual finishing touches. The site includes a sauna and cold plunge as well as a communal bathroom and kitchen on site. All located in the beautiful Blackdown Hills, Devon. Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable place. Dogs are welcome. Whole site hire is also available for private events. Guest access There is a communal kitchen (horse box) with a basic 2 ring gas stove for cooking and washing up facilities and a new field kitchen for more space Other things to note In order to comply with countryside planning policy, we operate our property as a Greener Camping Club members-only destination. The £12 membership fee is included in the accommodation price. If you are already a member, the fee will be refunded to you upon arrival. Our glamping site is off grid, so we recommend packing your wellies in case of unpredictable British weather. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay under the condition that they do not roam free without supervision or be left unattended. They must remain on leads while onsite, as we are surrounded by livestock. There is no wifi at The Sanctuary. However, chargers are available and there should be a mobile phone signal depending on your provider Beddings and dining utensils are provided. Guests must bring their own beach towels, please. In 2025 we introduced a new field kitchen for the overflow. Also a new sauna and cold bath have been added to the site. They are available on a booking system.
