This is the perfect spot to bring families together, comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests. Visit wineries, walk by the lake & catch a colorful sunset before you leave. There aren't many spacious, quiet homes in the area with lake proximity. NOTE: If you aren't seeing dates wanted due to min. nights required, please reach out. The space The first floor open-concept kitchen, dining and living areas offer tranquil views on a quiet street. This floor features a primary bedroom (queen-sized bed) with an ensuite bath and deep closet. This bedroom also attaches to a smaller room with twin daybed and trundle that is perfect for families with little ones wanting to be in close proximity, but not on top of each other. There is an additional bedroom (full-sized bed) on the first floor that has a great view of the lake and opens to a spacious indoor porch. A half bath and laundry room with new machines complete this level. Upstairs is a truly quiet, calming space, revealing a huge primary suite featuring a queen-sized bed, 2 twin beds, ensuite bath and office area overlooking the lake. Relax in the backyard with brand new gas-powered fire pit at sunset. Park 2 cars comfortably in the driveway or up to 4 if they are small enough to fit. There is no street parking available. Guest access Guests will have access to entire home via code-enabled lock. Quiet road with only 12 homes with little traffic. Easy access to Woodmere Beach, a private, ungroomed and stony beach, shared by neighborhood residents & guests. Beach access IS included in your stay. Please reserve the beach parking lot for local residents further away. Other things to note LAKE. WINE. FISH. We are 30 yards from the neighborhood beach shared by Woodmere residents and guests. Please avoid parking in the beach lot since our home is so close. There is a spacious grassy area to sit with a picnic table. Our home allows you to view the beach from the front porch. We recommend bringing your beach chairs down to enjoy swimming and kayaking during the day and then coming down later with a glass of wine to watch our famous sunsets! NOTE: this beach is stony and ungroomed. If you are looking for a sandy beach, Freeport Beach is a public spot located just about a mile west. Launch your kayak or paddle board right from the beach or launch a jet ski /larger boat from the North East Marina, 1.4 miles east. Boats launched from the marina can be anchored in front of our beach, (Woodmere) during the day. WINE. Our home is located in the heart of the North East wineries. 10 wineries are within 8 miles, including Penn Shore, Lakeview Wine Cellars, Mazza (the closest), South Shore Wine Company, Yori Wine Cellars, Courtyard Wineries, Presque Isle Wine Cellars, Arundel Cellars, Arrowhead, and Heritage Wine Cellars. NOTE: Lake Erie is known for Labrusca grape varieties like Concord & Niagara, so the wines are on the sweeter side. Many vineyards supply grapes to Welch's for grape juice! FISH. Lake Erie is famous for its boating and fishing including walleye, lake trout, bass, perch, and steelhead. We are located 1.4 miles from the North East Marina where you can rent a short-term boat slip or launch your trailered boat or jet ski. Our home is also between 16 Mile & 20 Mile Creeks. Walleye fishing in our part of the lake is generally best in July, August, and September. Steelhead season is usually best between November-March.
