Our guest suite w/ private entrance is nestled in one of Oakland’s best neighborhoods & offers the perfect retreat for your short-term stay! The location is perfect for travelers looking to explore both San Francisco and Oakland, with free and safe street parking, easy access to public transportation, and plenty to see within walking distance. In less than a 5 min drive, you’ll be able to check out many restaurants and sights beloved by the community. The space The guest suite is on the lower level of our home w/ a walkout to our private backyard full of mature fruit trees (enjoy as much as you'd like!). The suite features a private bedroom, fully stocked bathroom, living room, kitchenette w/ bistro table and large fridge, and a desk/work area. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, wardrobe, iron & ironing board, space heater, and standing fan. The bathroom is fully stocked with necessities and toiletries, including body wash, shampoo and conditioner, blow dryer, and hand soap. The living room has a very comfortable and large sectional sofa, which converts into an additional queen bed. There's also a flat-screen TV (w/ Netflix) and a soundbar. (It's a great place to have a movie night!) The kitchenette offers dinnerware, silverware, wine glasses, coffee machine, great sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster oven/air fryer, Keurig coffee machine (w/ coffee pods and sugar). Our home is in the Glenview neighborhood, which neighbors the famous Trestle Glen and Dimond districts. It's central to many trails, parks, and staple restaurants in Oakland. We have plenty of recommendations for what to do & where to go in the area! Guest access You have full access to the entire lower level: the guest suite and private backyard. Other things to note A few notes about our space: - Our suite does not have an oven or stove, however, we do have a microwave, toaster oven/air fryer for your convenience -- perfect for quick meals and easy cooking. - This listing is for the lower level of our home, which has slightly lower ceilings and is approx. 400 sq ft. Guests taller than 6'2" or those who require a more spacious accommodation might find the space less comfortable. - There is a gentle incline along the entry path, and the shower has a small step-down entry. Guests with mobility considerations may find these features less convenient.
