Farm stay in Talent
Farm stay in Talent
Description
Wake up and enjoy one of the most lovely views in the area. We live in a semi rural setting just 2 miles from downtown Talent and 6 miles from downtown Ashland, with beautiful views of the valley, surrounding hillsides, vineyards and our sweet little circus (farm). Our friendly goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, and pig will entertain you from afar. Watch the animals graze or nap in the sun while you sip your morning coffee or afternoon tea from the comfort of your own private suite. The space Our studio space is located above our attached garage. It comes with its own separate and private entrance. You’ll have the whole space to yourself. Please note that there are two short flights of stairs to reach the studio from the garage. You’ll find a comfortable king size bed, a kitchen and plenty of space for two people to relax and enjoy the farm life while reading or cooking up a nice meal. The bathroom is located on the main landing, which is one flight of stairs. Our wifi is fast for those who need to work remotely or if you need to watch your own separate shows on your laptop (we don’t have a tv). We want our place to be a memorable and enjoyable experience for you. Our space is designed with two people in mind. We don’t provide any extra accommodations or amenities for small children. If you are traveling with a child and you would like to book our place, please check with us before booking to ensure that it would be a good fit. While we are much quieter out here than city life, we don’t want to mislead you that it’s total peace and quiet. Like any farm, you’ll hear barking dogs, chickens & ducks chattering, roosters crowing, sheep and goats calling out, and some vehicles passing by. Also, every farm comes with a friendly farm cat. Ours is named Thor. We do ask that you don’t allow him upstairs to take over the guest space. We want to continue keeping the space pet free. We also have three dogs, Ace, Mac and Coco. They will happily greet you from afar in their fenced area with a friendly bark. We will keep them fenced off while guests are staying. However, you will hear them bark from time to time. It's a farm and we encourage them to discourage predators from visiting our livestock with their barking if they suspect anything. Sometimes that also means barking at a leaf that flew by or the mailman - which is the best part of the their day! They stay in the house with us at night. We have three roaming ducks on our property (Daryl, Daryl and Daryl). They generally like to keep their distance but you’ll often hear them chattering away when you step outside. You will need a vehicle while staying here in order to get around the area. There is ample space in our driveway for parking and it's very safe and secure. Guest access Guests have their own entrance through the side-door of the garage. There are 2 short flights of stairs from the garage to the guest space. In the garage space, guests are asked to leave any muddy shoes, wet clothing, or gear (bikes, etc) in this area to keep the upstairs clean. Guests are welcome to use the patio space near the entrance. There is a picnic table available to use. Guests are always welcome to walk down to the fence line to say hello to our darling animals. However, you are not allowed to go inside the animal area unless this has been pre-arranged. We ask that you don’t wander onto the back side of our house, as we greatly enjoy our privacy. Other things to note Depending on the season, we will often have eggs available for sale and other farm goods. Guests are welcome to visit with animals along the fence line anytime of the day. Unfortunately we can't control the weather or wildfire smoke during the summer months. We highly recommend getting travel insurance as we have a moderate cancelation policy. If you find yourself needing to cancel last minute but would like to try to come at a different date, please reach out first so we can see what works.
