The Old Shop, Southminster

The Old Shop, in the heart of the Dengie, provides a clean, calm & comfortable stay. Completely private with its own entrance and free on street parking outside. On the edge of Southminster, a short walk from local amenities, surrounded by rural views & walks and a short drive to the coast bordering the Rivers Crouch and Blackwater. The Dengie is perfect for quiet and secluded walks and wildlife spotting or if you prefer more life Burnham on Crouch and Maldon have lots to offer. The space A self-contained newly renovated annex with its own front door. Self-controlled central heating in every room. Open plan living area and kitchenette. Kitchenette has a kettle, toaster, microwave and air fryer. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt and pepper provided. Living area has a double sofa bed and television. Bathroom with large shower. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and towels supplied. Bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and hangers and a clothes steamer. Spare bedding available. Dogs Dog friendly with bed, bowls and towels supplied. Unfortunately we do not have garden access. Children Travel cot and bedding and high chair available on request. We would suggest the space is suitable for 4 people if staying for one night but for longer stays it is comfortable for 2. Guest access Self access at your own convenience through our key lock box. Other things to note Whether you are visiting family, attending a wedding or need to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The Old Shop is located on the outskirts of Southminster, a short walk from local amenities, surrounded by rural views and walks and a short drive to the coast bordering the River Crouch and River Blackwater. The Dengie is perfect for quiet and secluded walks and wildlife spotting or if you prefer more life Burnham on Crouch (7 minutes by car or one train stop) and Maldon (20 minutes by car) have lots to offer. Southminster is just a 40 minute drive from Southend and 1 hour from Central London by train. The Old Shop is a 7 minute walk from Southminster Train Station. If you are attending a wedding, we are a 7 minute walk away from Southminster Hall and a 5 minute drive from High House.
