It is a member of the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages in Quebec and is part of the Chemin des Cantons circuit. The house is in the historic area. It dates back to 1840 and was the residence of Leroy Robinson, the founder of the oldest weekly newspaper in Quebec, the Stanstead Journal. Several buildings in the square are a hundred years old.
