Cosy, sunny, green haven in London
Cosy, sunny, green haven in London
Description
Making your trip to London comfortable, easy and affordable. Warm, sunny, simple, homely and practical flat. Green, as furnished with mostly upcycled, recycled furniture. AUGUST 2025: I just read that Airbnb allows the rental of israely properties in illegally occupied Palestinian land. I will be demanding that AIRBNB stop this illegal activity. We can all play a part. Please do the same. The space Direct underground from King's Cross St Pancras. Easy access from Gatwick, via Clapham Junction train station. Close to famous Brixton Village, and central London. Yet quiet neighbourhood & nice neighbours. Good selection of affordable local restaurants and coffee places nearby. Clapham close-by for more upmarket eating places. Clapham Junction & Victoria train stations are not far, for day trips. Guest access I have put stickers on all cupboards to make it easier to find all you need, and what I am happy to share. Kitchen Please help yourself to any tea, coffee, sugar, oil, condiments. Bathroom Shampoo and shower gel of course. I also left a few standard toiletry items you are welcome to use if needed (toothpaste, cotton pads, cotton buds, face cream, nail clippers etc) . All in top drawer in the unit behind the door. Entrance Feel free to use slippers in the shelf unit. Bedroom Hairdryer on shelf Space in closet to hang clothes. Thick curtains for those who need total darkness to sleep. Work space, desk, books Feel free to use but please don't touch my work documents. Browse books if you wish, but please place back where you found them. Towels and bedding If you need more, they are in the right hand cupboard in entrance hall. Electrical sockets European extension leads & sockets throughout the flat, so no need for adaptors. Anything with stickers marked PRIVATE, kindly don't use. If in doubt, please ask. Thanks Other things to note The flat is on a small estate with bigger buildings, so the immediate neighbourhood is a bit bland (and hence quiet). For shops and restaurants, walk towards Streatham Hill, Tulse Hill or Brixton (about 10-15min walk or 5min bus). Good range of eating places there (fast-food and bigger chains, but also lots of good small independant restaurants, family run places, traditional fish&chips and lots of international food). European sockets throughout the flat, so no need to bring adaptors.
