Welcome to spend a relaxing, good-natured visit to the 5th floor of a beautiful and peaceful apartment building, in a natural and serene neighborhood next to the city center! Two rooms with soft, bedding sofa beds (widths 150 & 140cm) offer accommodation for four, and a soft extra mattress + folding mattress for a larger family. Cooking is possible in the newly renovated kitchen, and a parking space is available. You can walk to the pedestrian street in 15 minutes, and nature begins right around the corner of the house. The space Welcome to our cozy 53 sqm apartment, which has both a separate bedroom (=bedroom 1) and a spacious living room (=bedroom 2). Both sleeping areas have soft sofa beds with mattresses (widths 150cm and 140cm), and the windows have blackout roller blinds. The kitchen, renovated in the summer of 2023, is well equipped, including dishes, appliances (including dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, coffee and kettle), and cooking facilities. (The appliances work well otherwise, except for the lower resistance of the oven: We recommend making only one oven tray at a time.) The dining table and seats can be found at once for four, moving the hallway bench to the kitchen for up to six, and the kitchen window is also decorated with a cozy, padded seat bench. The spacious hallway has hanging space for clothes and also space for suitcases. The bathroom is bright and tidy, although it has not been renovated recently. The bathroom has a washing machine, shower soaps and a drying rack in the hallway cabinet. The house offers you clean bedding and towels. The apartment is decorated in a warm, cozy way, partly also with details suitable for the spirit of a historic house built in the 1930s and 1940s. Two liftable desks and the apartment's wifi are also available to you. Sleeps 5 + 1: In addition to the four beds described above (sofa beds + soft mattress), we can arrange two or even three additional beds for a larger family if needed. The fifth sleeper gets a soft mattress on a mattress, and the sixth sleeper can also be accommodated, using a folding mattress (for a lightweight sleeper). If you need to accommodate a seventh guest, the kitchen window bench is also available for overnight stays - This option, however, is only suitable for a max. 155-160cm, lightweight sleeper (e.g. elementary school student) who is not bothered by a narrower sleeping width than a normal bed. The bedrooms are separate from each other, and the sound insulation between the rooms is also functional - it can even dampen snoring, if necessary. :) For example, grandparents staying in a small bedroom could get a lot of privacy in relation to a family staying in a large room. (The double door between the bedrooms is not in use, there is a bookshelf behind it.) The bedrooms also have air purifiers that remove dust from the air. For example, the apartment has literature related to mental well-being, as well as some children's & young people's books, toys and games ("children's box" under the kitchen window bench). At the moment (spring -24) there is no high chair or travel bed in the apartment yet. The apartment's two windows open to the air and offer a wide view of the wooded neighborhood, with Jyväskylä's Tuomiojärvi peeking out from among the trees, and the wooded corner of the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences' handsome main campus. Taivaanranta is also framed by the majestic Taulumäki Church. We offer a free parking space for a passenger car in the yard of the house for the duration of your visit. You can also inquire about the possibility of extending the visit time at either end. We are happy to be flexible if we can. On the other hand, Sunday's check-out time can often be extended to the afternoon (at least outside the summer time).
