Welcome to River Nest Retreats Relax w/ the whole family at our newly renovated, peaceful, waterfront cottage w/ stunning features. Our cottage is located along the Ottawa River, & is nestled away just enough to provide added privacy. Enjoy the close proximity to numerous amenities: 35 mins from Ottawa 1 km from the Algonquin Trail 12 mins from Arnprior 12 mins from Renfrew 20 mins from Calabogie Peaks Private skating rink on property 2025 SUMMER BOOKINGS- Friday- Thursday ONLY The space Winter: Our cottage property has a private skating rink, sled in sled out snowmobile access and cross country ski trails. We are 25 mins from Calabogie peaks and are situated on a world famous Muskie fishy location on the Ottawa River. We have a 4-season 4 person hot tub that is perfect to relax in after a day on the slopes or out on the trails Summer: 1.5 acres of land featuring a sandy beach, outdoor firepit, yard games, paddle boards and a relaxing four season hot tub. Enjoy a peaceful afternoon nap in our boho hammock listening to the sounds of the river. Our sandy beach is a perfect place to unwind. If your kiddos are coming along, we provide sand toys, water toys, and 3 youth kayaks! Our driveway extends directly to the beach if you would like to bring water toys of your own. Fish off our 50ft dock or enjoy your morning coffee on the Adirondack chair looking over the river. Our outdoor patio is surrounded by beautiful mature trees that provide optimal privacy. Guest access The cottage address is 553 Cardinal Lane, Renfrew ON, K7V378. Follow Cardinal Lane to 553. Turn left into the driveway. Continue until you see the sign “River Nest Retreats”. Turn left again and drive up to the cottage to unload. Designated parking is available for guest vehicles. Other things to note Our lovely cottage is pet friendly, we do however charge a $200 pet fee which covers additional cleaning to ensure each of our guests enjoys an allergy free stay. All pets must be disclosed. Please note, failure to disclose a pet will incur an additional $100 on top of the above pet fee. Our furniture and appliances are brand new; including mattresses and amenities. We want your stay to be relaxing a carefree. We have made it our goal to provide you the best cottage experience. Included in your stay: Plush, high quality bath and beach towels for each guest. Our bed linens are soft like butter. Enjoy our high quality sheets and duvet covers. Our micro-gel duvets are perfect for each season. Our mattresses are protected by bamboo anti-microbial covers. For guests using the sunroom futon- we provide a memory foam mattress pad for added comfort. Enjoy the excellent quality pillows to meet your needs. We have options of cotton, down or bamboo. We provide enough laundry pods and dishwasher tabs for your stay. We provide soaps and cleaning products. Local products such as: Hand soaps from White Lake Washing co. Complimentary coffee from Ottawa Valley Coffee. Our kitchen is stocked with all the tools to need to make the perfect meal. We are also stocked with basic spices and cooking oils. We have a counter style ice maker! No need to make a stop on the way! Our cottage includes: 2 paddle boards 3 kids kayaks Adult life jackets Water floaties Yard games: Volleyball Badminton Scoops Bean bag toss A huge selection is boardgames, puzzles and activities. Note: Our family home is behind the property. Should you need anything, we are easy to reach. Disclosure: We will have access to the beach and dock at all times. We will access it through a public road to ensure your privacy is respected. Bringing kiddos? We’ve got you covered. River Nest Retreats is stocked for all ages. The sunroom: Our sunroom is great place for the kiddos to hang out. It has a partition door to create privacy if being used as a bedroom, or to keep the noise out if the board games are getting intense! We have a TV, DVD player and gaming consoles. We also have a shelf full of board games that are perfect for family game night. The kitchen: Our kitchen is stocked with kid friendly plates, bowls, cups and utensils. We have an easy to use IKEA high chair so no need to take up space in your vehicle. Sleeping: We have a Pack n’ play crib for infants and toddlers. For the bigger kids, we have an awesome bunk bed with a trundle pull out! In the second bedroom we have a cute little reading corner filled with books for all ages. Outside: We have a garden box stocked with outdoor games like: bean bag toss, scoops, volleyball, soccer, football, badminton and more. The beach: We provide 3 youth kayaks and 2 adult size paddle boards to use at anytime. We keep spare life jackets in the cottage for everyone’s safety. On the beach we have a garden box full of sand toys and water floaties. You will also find a beach mat and matching umbrella if you’d like to just chill. We have two wooden benches on the beach and a large picnic table. Just show up, relax and have fun! 🏖️ Please note: the half bath listed is an outhouse that is accessible during the spring, summer and fall months.
