Adorable Airstream, glamping at its best

Tucked in the forest and overlooking the meadow, the Adorable Airstream is super comfy for 2 people. Dine outdoors on the lovely deck, sit by the cozy chimenea fire and cook on the barbeque. The airstream is equiped with a complete kitchen, shower, bathroom sink and camping toilet. Just steps away is a pristine outdoor state of the art eco outhouse with a sink for washing up. Smaller crate trained pets allowed for a fee, must be discussed before making a reservation. Close to Acadia and hiking. The space The Airstream is located, in it's own private spot in the woods, on our 6 acre property with 5 other cottages on Hancock Point. We are 45 minutes from the Bar Harbor entrance to Acadia and 25 minutes from the entrance on Schoodic Point in Winter Harbor, a lesser well known but very beautiful part of the Park. The bedroom windows look out through the trees and onto the field where you can often see deer grazing in the early morning. There is a spacious deck in front of the airstream with outdoor furniture, a gas chiminea for a cozy evening fire, and grill for outdoor meals. The eco outhouse is located about 20 feet from the Airstream. Guest access Only you will have access to the entire site where the airstream is located. You can also explore the field and nearby wooded areas and trails on Crabtree Neck Land Trust land. A washer and drier are located in the garage by my house and you may use them. Maine Coast Memorial Hospital: (will be available in the cottage). 24 hr. emergency care, 7 days. Fire, Ambulance, Police: 911 emergencies only. OUTHOUSE, This airstream utilizes an outhouse. It is pristine clean and we use composting materials in it. It is located within steps of the Airstream. There is a sink for washing up. Inside the Airstream there are a shower and bathroom sink. There is an indoor camping toilet for use in the middle of the night if you prefer not to go outdoors. Bring food, supplies, and other personal items. We will provide T.P, soap, shampoo, a roll of paper towels, and some laundry detergent (in the garage). The kitchen is small but complete, including a gas cooktop, small fridge, microwave, coffee maker (and filters), etc., as well as pots pans, dishes and utensils. Salt pepper and some spices are available. Also, there is a gas grill outside as well as a chimenea. Please turn the chimenea off when you are hot sitting in front of it. It is dangerous to leave it unattended. We supply all linens and towels. There is a washer and a dryer in the garage. Feel free to use or eat anything left behind in the Airstream. Garbage goes outside in the can provided. Or, you can take it to the garage. Hancock is not currently recycling, but you can save your redeemable beverage containers and we will return them or you can. Everything other than Maine beverage containers with deposits, should go in trash. Please do not leave either the gas heat or the electric heaters on if windows or doors are open. Same for the AC. Only use it when windows and doors are closed. Feel free to leave the outdoor light on if you go out for the evening. You can pick berries in the field, when in season. Feel free to walk on the mowed path that runs past the other cottages and into the field. Please remember that check in is not before 4 p.m. and check-out time is 10 a.m. There is no need to lock the door when you leave for good. In fact it is easier for us if you don’t. You are agreeing to them when you make a reservation PETS, one thing to note; even though crate trained pets are allowed for a fee, it may not be safe to leave your pet in the Airstream in warmer weather as it can heat up quite a bit when no one is home monitoring windows, awning, AC, etc. When you book with us through Airbnb you are agreeing to the rental agreement and the pet policy that we use when we book direct (without Airbnb). Maximum sleeping capacity is 7 for Berry Cottages, 3 for Treetop Loft, 4 for Sweetfern Cottage and 3 for the Adorable Airstream. Prices vary according to number of occupants. 1. RESERVATIONS ARE NOT FINAL UNTIL: The down payment and email questionnaire are received in our office. We require that deposits be sent immediately upon verbal or e-mail confirmation of your reservation. The cottage will not be held without a down payment and requested paperwork. 2. FINAL PAYMENTS: We reserve the right to cancel a reservation if payments are not made on time. 3. CANCELLATION POLICY. Reservation down payments and final payments arep non-refundable if you cancel and the cottage remains unoccupied for the days you reserved. We will refund your payment(s) minus a $50 processing fee if we rent the cottage to someone else for the entire reserved period, or we will give you a corresponding partial refund if the reserved period is partially rented. 4. CHECK IN AND OUT. Check in is 4 p.m. or after, check out is by 10 a.m, not later, on the days specified on your receipt. 5. VACCINES: We reserve the right to cancel reservations if any serious disease outbreak or pandemic occurs in Maine or elsewhere. Vaccine status may affect reservations. Any reservation canceled by Crabtree Neck Cottages will be fully refunded. Others are subject to our cancellation policy. 6. QUIET HOURS are between 10:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. No parties or events without prior permission. 7. CONSTRUCTION. There are sometimes construction projects occurring on the property. 8. . MINIMUM STAYS. If you choose to stay less than the minimum or reserved time, you will still be charged the full amount. There are no refunds for late arrival or early departure. 9. HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY. We do not give refunds for bad weather occurring here, where you live or where you are coming from. If this concerns you, we suggest you buy trip insurance independently of Crabtree Neck Cottages. 10. LIABILITY. The owners of Crabtree Neck Cottages are not responsible for accidents, illness or injuries that occur on the premises. The owners are not responsible for loss of or damage to items or valuables belonging to guests. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm to themselves arising from their use of the premises, or to others whom they invite to use the premises. No outdoor fires are allowed on the property without prior permission. 12. PETS are not allowed except by prior arrangement and separate agreement and payment. 11. LEFT BEHIND items can be mailed for a $15 handling fee plus postage (packages usually $15). ------------------------- Our pet policy is as follows: 1. We charge $125 extra rent per pet, plus a $200 security damage deposit in case we need to clean or replace anything due to pet dirt or damage. 2. Your pet must be crate trained and kept in its crate if left alone in the cottage for any length of time, but conversely, must not be left alone and crated for such long periods that it becomes unhappy and barks repeatedly. 3. Your pet must be on a leash and accompanied by a responsible person at all times while outside. 4. All poops in yard must be picked up and disposed of in a plastic bag and then in the garbage can. 5. Pets are not allowed on the furniture and bedding. 5. Your pet must not threaten or bother the person who comes to water the plants and tend the garden, others walking by or the neighbors. 6. Any costs incurred for extra cleaning charges, scratch or damage repair, item replacement, or anything done by your pet, will be deducted from your security deposit. The balance will be sent to you the week after you leave. 7. We are not responsible for any harm to your pet.
