Description
Krishna Valley, a spiritual eco-farm community, houses 140 volunteers dedicated to serving and living on the property. Practicing Bhakti yoga, some know us as Hare Krishnas or ISKCON members. At the heart of the farm community stands the temple, where daily worship and meditation takes place. Additionally, it holds the distinction of being one of Europe's largest ecological farm communities and is Hungary's sole cow protection center. The space About the room: In addition to shared accommodation, the design of the dormitories also serves to preserve the private sphere. Each bed comes with curtains, bookshelves and bedside lamps to ensure maximum comfort and a peaceful retreat. There are 3 bunk beds in the dormitories, so we can accommodate a maximum of 6 ladies per room. In the winter, the room is heated by a tile stove heater, and the window faces the Csepregi Street. There are 2 such female dormitories in our main building, Kamala Bhavan. In the summer, both are in operation, but in the winter we usually only have one heated dormitory open (in case of greater demand, of course, we also heat the other female dormitory). About Kamala Bhavan: This room is located in the main Kamala Bhavan building, which is a purple colored building on the corner of Fő utca and Csepregi utca. The female and male dormitories, as well as a single room, are located in this building, which offer the most affordable accommodation option. As soon as we enter the building, we are greeted by a cozy little corridor with small tables and chairs. Here, in the sunny atmosphere, we can comfortably eat our meals or work on our laptops in a calm environment. Free Wi-Fi in the house ensures uninterrupted internet connection. We can comfortably place our shoes on the shoe rack next to the door, as it is required to remain inside the house without wearing outdoor shoes. There is also a reception room in the building, where the receptionist is only available by prior arrangement. A small kitchenette opens from the hallway, equipped with a microwave, fridge, kettle and cutlery. And you will even find tea bags, sugar and salt in the kitchen. The men’s and women’s common bathrooms are located at the end of the building, in both rooms there are two toilet cubicles and two shower cubicles available to guests. In front of the building is a cozy terrace with tables, cushioned chairs and tent roofs. In good weather, it provides an ideal place for guests to relax and recharge. Around the guesthouse: Opposite the building is a small ABC, where you will find a wide selection of groceries. Gluten-free products are also available in the store as well as some vegetarian options. Distances from the guesthouse: Kamala Bhavan is located not far from Krishna Valley’s entrance, just 400 meters away or a 6-minute walk. And the Krishna Valley temple is only 1,800 meters away, which is about a 24-minute walk on a cobbled road winding through the picturesque natural surroundings of the Krishna Valley. Of course, for those who do not want to walk, it is also possible to drive slowly to the parking lot in front of the temple. Dining: You can eat your ordered meal at the Govinda restaurant located inside Krishna Valley. The restaurant is located in the temple building, if you are facing it, you will find it on the right side. Meals usually include hot or cold dishes depending on the season. All food served is vegetarian and the milk provided is ahimsa milk (non-violent) given by the farm’s cows. The vegetables used come to the kitchen fresh, straight from the Krishna Valley gardens. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire property surrounding the guesthouse, featuring a spacious garden. Inside the Kamala Bhavan guesthouse building, Kamala Kutir guests are welcome to use the small kitchen, which is equipped with a fridge, microwave, and a sink. Apart from the guesthouse, visitors are free to explore various paths and hidden spots around the farm, including the cow barn and vegetable garden, with opportunities to lend a helping hand if they wish. The temple is open daily from 3 in the morning until 9 at night. Guests are welcome to participate in worship and meditation sessions or visit the temple room at other times to experience the spiritual serenity it offers.
