Description
Quaint peaceful romantic log cabin situated in the woods. Smell the fresh air breeze flowing through the surrounding pine trees and hear the birds chirp their greetings. Perfect cabin to light a fire and relax away from the hustle and bustle. Set in a private community with numerous hiking trails, community pool, tennis courts and a 9 hole golf course. The space Surrounded by Los Padres Forest and in Pine Mountain Club, the Mountain Hideaway Cabin is close to many trails and wilderness settings, yet is only 1 mile away from the village center shops, restaurants, and the PMC Country Club. The Cabin is a cozy two-bedroom one-bathroom cabin. The upstairs master bedroom has a king-size bed with memory foam topper and the downstairs bedroom has a full-size bed and a pull-out single bed. The bathroom is downstairs next to the living room. In the afternoon you can lounge on the back deck, pour a glass of wine to read, and relax under the pines. The cabin is located at a higher elevation that is hugged by a mountain valley and shaded by trees creating a serene environment. The Mountain Hideaway Cabin includes: Wi-Fi, a smart TV including guest access to Netflix and Prime Video, Bluetooth speaker in the living room to enjoy music throughout, full kitchen, computer table, 4 space heaters, extra pillows and blankets, a cozy wood-burning stove/fireplace with a fan blowing hot air to warm the place efficiently, washer and dryer under the back deck, and a yoga/stargazing deck out back. Other unique features: Nespresso coffee machine, all-in-one air fryer/oven/dehydrator. Music instruments available throughout the cabin (Steel Tongue Drum, Tibetan Singing Bowl, Didgeridoo, Kalimba, and Ukulele) Complimentary coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, some spices, clean towels, toilet paper and paper towel, fire starters, firewood...and more. :) ACTIVITIES IN PINE MOUNTAIN: This cabin is adjacent to several beautiful hiking trails. Two of our favorites are, the Woodland Waterfall Trail (Waterfall most active in the spring) and the Enchanted Forest Trail by a creek active most of the year. If you are interested in historic sites you can visit San Emigdio Canyon Trail where missionaries found gold in the canyon, and US soldiers made their way to Fort Tejon. You can also take an enjoyable walk on the Silverville Mine trail and stroll through the original route of the El Camino Viejo, Old Hyw, used in the late 1700s and early 1800s as a wagon trail. This roadway was a continuous route from San Diego to San Francisco. Mount Pinos is situated only 20 minutes from Pine Mountain Club, you can cross-country ski, hike, or spend an evening stargazing near Nordic Base which has been identified by many as one of the best star gazing sites in Southern California. HOT TUB and POOL: Open from Memorial Day weekend - to the end of Sept. ($5/day/guest, paid on-site) These are exciting new additions to our community! The Pool and Country club are a 5-minute drive from the cabin. They are open in warm months and are adjacent to the clubhouse near the Village Center. PMC MEMBER AMENITIES: We offer our guests PMC guest cards so you can access all the activities, including tennis courts, golf course, clubhouse, basketball court, volleyball court, baseball diamond, soccer field, fishing lake, equestrian center, hiking, cross country skiing, café, and dining at the Club. The cards will be located on the dining table. Please put them back when you leave. There will be a fee for lost cards as we must purchase additional cards. Guest access There is a combination lock box. Code will be sent the day of your reservation. Our cabin can easily acommodate up to 3 vehicles to park on the driveway. * 4wd or chains are required in when there is snow. * Although rare, if Interstate Highway 5 is closed on the day of your check-in due to weather conditions, you’ll be able to switch your booking for a future date or get a refund. Other things to note IMPORTANT NOTICE! We share PMC with BEARS! Please DO NOT LEAVE ANY TRASH outside. Bears will come and make a mess. Please DO NOT LEAVE THE CAR / HOUSE DOORS OPEN and DO NOT LEAVE ANY FOOD, DRINK, CHOP-STICKS, CAR FRESHENERS, FOOD WRAPPERS...etc IN YOUR CAR! Keep your vehicles locked 24/7 and windows up all the way. The bears will break into your car.
