Our single-storey barn conversion sleeps six peacefully beneath big Suffolk skies. Located within the grounds of Dove House, an impressive 14th-century Suffolk Hall, it boasts gorgeous views over extensive grounds, across an equestrian stud to a lake and river, with fields and the Brett Valley beyond. An open-plan living space has a well-equipped kitchen and dining area seating six and a reception seating area to congregate and keep the chef company. During your stay, cook up a storm on the impressive range cooker. Or, if you need a break from cooking, consider bringing the restaurant to you with DineIndulge, available for a one-off celebration or fully catered break. Escape to the cosy sitting room with its big sofas, and armchairs, and get a movie going on the 40” TV. Warm your toes by the stylish wood burner in winter months, and during the summer, slide out to the neat patio and garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. The four charming bedrooms have vast vaulted ceilings, skylights galore and chunky wooden beams. The two doubles have wooden 5' kings and the two singles have 3' beds. They share two well-appointed bathrooms, one with walk in shower and one with a luxurious free-standing bath. Did we say poolside? Oh yes. At its heart, the shared 9m outdoor pool is available during the warmer summer months. Or just laze on a sun lounger. Elsewhere, you are free to explore and enjoy the grounds of Dove House and wander the paths. There’s a lot of wandering to get through. Potter around the fields, now home to thoroughbred mares and a small herd of pedigree Hereford cattle, along the picturesque river bank or head out on a public footpath away from the far end of the property. This holiday property is next to The Old Barn, sleeping 8 guests in four bedrooms. Stable Cottage and The Old Barn can be booked separately or together to accommodate up to 14 guests. French doors onto the barbecue terrace and private lawned garden. Family Bathroom with a freestanding iron bath with hand held shower and wc. Outside: Off the sitting room is an enclosed private garden with furniture and a barbecue (charcoal - please supply your own). To the front there are views across the stud to a lake, river, fields and the Brett Valley beyond, which guests are welcome to explore. There are many paths around the lake and fields which are home to thoroughbred mares and a small herd of pedigree Hereford cattle. Guests can also walk along the picturesque river bank or head out on various public footpaths. Off the central hallway is a large heated outdoor swimming pool shared with The Old Barn and in use from mid May to mid September. Off-street parking for two cars.
