Construction ended in May of 2024. The preceding space was completely gutted to a bare shell and the brand new flat, you see in the photograph gallery, was built from scratch. We chose this space because it is a corner unit in a historical building where we already own and operate three other bespoke Airbnb apartments. A corner space provides lots of natural light throughout the day. The flat has 9, floor-to-ceiling windows. The lounge windows are double-glazed, blocking out all street noise. The bedroom windows are triple glazed, for total silence when you need it most - during the night. At 3-metres in height, the ceilings are extra tall, giving the space a feeling of additional airiness and luxury. Natural materials were used throughout the project and the floors are granite. All our beds are extra-large King size beds, hand-built from oak. To help with your sleep, we chose handcrafted mattresses by the best mattress maker in the world - the famous British firm Hypnos. This is the same company that handcrafts mattresses for the late Queen of England. Our supremely comfortable beds and mattresses will help enhance your health and wellbeing and afford you a rejuvinating night's sleep. There are three bathrooms in the flat. Two bathrooms have large walk-in showers. The open plan kitchen and dining area covers 27 square metres, bigger than the total floor space of most new flats presently being built in Cape Town. Floor to ceiling kitchen cabinetry and a 3-metre long center-island with built in drawers on one side with sitting for 4 on the other. The center-island provides a comfortable and large cooking area. The kitchen is fully stocked with modern large and small appliances, dishes, pots, cutlery and everything else you will require to cook, serve and enjoy a beautiful meal, or host a small dinner party. The SMEG stove is both gas and electrical, with 6 heating elements and a full oven. The large capacity LG microwave is also a convection oven in its own right. Double sink. A silent dishwasher. The top of the line large capacity LG fridge has a fridge side and freezer side, as well as a water and ice dispenser. The 3-metre dining table was handcrafted from French Oak and seats 8 in comfort. There is a 65” flat screen TV set up on a wall directly in front of the dining table, just in case you and your guests want to enjoy a meal while watching an important sports game, an F1 race or an amazing Netflix show. The long dining table and the centre-island were also set up with business meetings in mind. While conducting a business meeting, the dining table can double as a conference table with digital presentations seamlessly projected from any laptop to a large flat screen TV directly in front. There are four internet-connected flat-screen TVs in the flat. At over 250 Mbs the WiFi network is extremely fast and reliable. The lounge is large and is luxuriously furnished. There is a separate, comfortable workspace with multiple plug points. Guest access Guests have full and exclusive use of the whole 165 sqm flat and a dedicated parking bay.
