(Must be 21 or older to rent) The space When you arrive at the cabin, you will feel at peace with your choice to stay at A Mountain Hyde-A-Way. Nestled in the woods, this romantic cabin for 2 is the answer to your perfect vacation getaway for 2. The covered porch area has rocking chairs and a large swing, the perfect place to relax with morning coffee or unwind with a good book. In the evenings, cozy up to your loved one and listen to the sounds of nature as the swing lulls you to sleep. The backyard is the perfect spot for spending the evening stargazing and holding hands. A Mountain Hyde-A-Way is about reconnecting with yourself and your loved one. So turn off that cellphone and get ready for some peace and quiet. The deck features a spacious picnic table for outdoor dining and a nearby charcoal grill for cooking your favorite recipes. Bring along a camping lantern and enjoy the great outdoors in a dim lit, romantic setting. After dinner, enjoy a romantic, relaxing evening cozied up to one another around the fire pit. Enjoy some yummy s'mores and smiles as you stargaze into the night. Spend some time in the outdoor hot tub while unwinding from the day. Perhaps, you may be lucky enough to make a wish upon a shooting star. When you rent A Mountain Hyde-A-Way as a 1 Bedroom | 1 Bathroom Cabin, you will have access to the main level only. The door that leads to the upstairs will be locked. The upstairs area is not part of your rental. Main Level Area: Enjoy meal preparation in this awesomely equipped kitchen! This fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare your favorite meals and the adjacent dining table is fit for a king and queen. The living room features a stone gas fireplace (seasonal), a flat screen TV, new wood floors, candle lights and comfortable furniture for relaxing together while watching a movie or sporting event. There is also a chess table with 2 chairs for those who enjoy a challenge. Just off the living room area, you will find the cozy master bedroom with a log king bed. There is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo located off the hallway. In the hallway, the shelves are stocked with games for all ages, and a closet with a full size washer and dryer is nearby. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, romantic location and the perfect spot for 2, A Mountain Hyde-A-Way is the cabin for you. We do not allow overcrowding due to fire safety concerns. Please do not bring blow up mattresses, sleeping bags or cots. Violation of this policy will result in your immediate removal from the property with no $$$ refunded. If you need accommodations for more than 2, you need to rent a different cabin. Upon arrival, we give our guests an after-hours emergency number as well as the office number and hours. We are available to answer questions and dispatch maintenance if needed. ***When you reserve the cabin, we will request an image of your ID to confirm your age and name and we have a separate form for you to sign at check-in for responsibility for the cabin. This form is signed by you the renter to agree to our house rules in writing. Guest access The entire main level is yours to use as well as the outdoor hot tub, grill and fire pit. The upstairs is not part of the rental nor is the garage / lower level. There is a shed on the property and it too is locked. Other things to note Year-round fishing and seasonal pool access is available nearby. A Mountain Hyde-A-Way has a membership for your use to the Honeysuckle Meadows Pool & Deli located approximately 3 ½ miles from the cabin. Fishing pole rentals are available onsite during the summer season. Make plans to go fishing, swimming, hiking or tubing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park located just 6 miles from the cabin via the Wears Valley/Line Springs Road entrance. Just inside the Park entrance is Metcalf Bottoms, a fantastic picnic area that features tables, grills, and the cool waters of the Little River. Day driving trips through Cades Cove, to Clingmans Dome, around the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, to the Mountain Farm Museum & Mingus Mill near Cherokee or on the Tail of the Dragon always make fun & enjoyable outings. The entrance to the new scenic Wears Valley/Walland section of the Foothills Parkway which took over 50 years to complete is located just 3 miles from A Mountain Hyde-A-Way. For local dining near the cabin, some favorites are: Grandmother’s Kitchen, Elvira’s Café, Pawpaw’s Cajun Kitchen, Sloppy Hog Burger Joint, and the Wear Valley Social Food Truck Park.
