Captain's Retreat on the Albemarle Sound

Captain's Retreat is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the Albemarle Sounds & it's amazing views. The dockside seating area offers AMAZING sunrises and sunsets, and a covered boat slip is included. It's conveniently located adjacent to a NC Wildlife boat ramp. Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. The space The Boat House was originally built as a crash boat facility as part of Marine Corp Air Station Edenton. Construction was completed in May of 1943, and it was manned by safety and rescue units around the clock who were prepared to spring into action in the event of a water landing. Today the unique building houses two apartments and three boat slips, which are available for short term rental. The Boat House is located on the northern shore of the Albemarle Sound, a true paradise for water and boating enthusiasts. There is a state boat ramp adjacent to the property, a boat slip for each unit, and a wide private beach just 250 feet from the building. You can literally take in the sunrise from the building, step onto your boat, and be fishing or cruising the Albemarle Sound in minutes. It is six miles from downtown Edenton by car, or you can cruise the five miles by water to the town docks, where you can easily walk to the local shops and restaurants. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire apartment via keyless entry, the covered boat house and slip, dockside sitting area and the beach.
