Keep it simple at this peaceful guest cabin just off the Blue Ridge Pkwy. Close to many classic NC hikes. Few miles to Table Rock/Hawksbill/Linville Gorge area, Grandfather Mountain including Beacon Heights, Rough Ridge, Linville Falls and Linville River Trout fishing, Price Park/Moses Cone. 1/4 mi off of Blue Ridge Pkwy at Mile 313. Rustic, but with good WiFi. Access via NC 181. Queen Bed w/ linens Twin pullout mattress in living area kitchen w/ stovetop, coffee pot Bathtub w/ hand sprayer The space This is an entire 1 bedroom guest house with Queen bedroom and a single twin pull out bed in the living room area. Co-host is next door. Kitchen with sink, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, coffee pot with fixings, 2 burner stove. No oven. Living area plenty of seating and nice views over meadow where you might see wildlife and wildflowers around. Bears, deer and even the occasional fighter jet training in the Gorge are observed. Smart Roku TV to stream your favorite services and great WiFi. Outdoor gas grill available and fire pit with seating area. Bring your own firewood or stop at one of the local general stores for firewood. Bathroom separate with toilet, large soak bathtub and handheld sprayer device. There is not a standup shower. Access is a at the end of a rugged 1/3-1/2 mile gravel road/driveway. 4 wheel drive is helpful but not required in most conditions. In winter or other unfavorable conditions like heavy rain, 4 wheel drive maybe required. Please check weather forecast for Jonas Ridge/Newland before planning your trip. Other things to note Access is on a gravel road, 4 wheel drive highly recommended after Helene. 4 wheel drive required in winter due to unpredictable weather. Year round access via NC 181 even if Blue Ridge Pkwy closed. Very close to Jonas Ridge (Snow Tubing), Pisgah National forest (Table Rock area), Newland, Linville, Linville Falls hiking area. Banner Elk 10-15 miles, Boone 30 minutes. For long term stays, cleaning fee will be $50 per week. This will be requested separately after stay is booked. For excessive pet hair or other excessive mess outside the norm, additional cleaning fees may also be charged.
