Sprocket Haus

Sprocket Haus is located in the historic logging town of Falls City, in the Willamette Valley. You'll be walking distance from the Little Luckiamute Falls and an local all-ages bar, not to mention the river runs through the property. Spend your time relaxing by the fire and the river! The Black Rock Mountain Bike Area is less than 4 miles away. One of the best free-ride mountain biking areas in the world. It has a seemingly endless selection of drops, jump, and wooden features The space Sprocket Haus is a large two-story building. There is a store-front on the lower level and a private residence above. The Air BnB is on the lower level and consists of two large rooms. It is behind the storefront. It has its own private entry and is separate from the upstairs private residence. Sprocket Haus is a place for connection, not chaos. While we can’t host large parties, we warmly welcome peaceful gatherings. If your plans include a holiday get-together, a restorative yoga retreat, or a cozy book club visit, message us—we’d love to make it happen. The bathroom is divided into two rooms - one with a shower, the other with the sink and toilet. The entire residence has hot and cold water, and a furnace for heat. There is no A/C, but there are fans, and the evening breeze cools things off nicely. There is a full-sized bed and a queen-sized bed. A single cot is also provided, along with bedding. We also provide a plug-in inflatable queen mattress, along with bedding. The air mattress and cot are available for groups with more than four people. If you plan on having more than four guests, please be aware of these sleeping arrangements. Sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels are provided. A small fridge, air fryer combo microwave, toaster, and coffee pot are available, along with dishes, cups, glasses, and utensils. There is a convection hot plate, along with basic cooking pots and pan. The kitchen area is simple, but functional, and we provide a full sized propane BBQ outside. There are board games, puzzles, and Legos, and a selection of lifejackets for little ones to explore the river. The space also has a piano which guests are welcome to play during non-quiet hours. There are two firepits. If you would like firewood we charge $10 per bundle. We also have S'more kits available for $25. They include marshmallows, quality chocolate bars, graham crackers, and roasting sticks. We only charge a $20 cleaning fee — a rarity these days — because we want to keep costs low for our guests. In return, we hope guests will help us out by leaving Sprocket Haus as tidy as they found it. Guest access Guests will have access to the lower level of Sprocket Haus, the lower deck, the backyard (including fire pits), and access to the Little Luckiamute River. The upstairs of the property is off limits. A spiral staircase connects the two levels. The stairs are off limits to guests and lead into a secure room upstairs. Guests have full privacy. Other things to note Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. During non-quiet hours, please feel free to enjoy the piano, there is sheet music in the bench. We live upstairs, and while we do our best to keep things quiet and low-key during your stay, we can't promise complete silence. Occasionally, you might hear the toilet flush, the shower running, or — if you're lucky — our cats, Jefferson, Captain Janeway, and Lyria engaging in their signature early-morning zoomies, as they race down the hallway like little furry maniacs. Jefferson goes outside and often interacts with guests. He is very friendly, but shouldn’t be invited into Sprocket Haus. If you think you might be a really light sleeper, just let us know - we’re happy to provide earplugs and a sound machine to help. Note: The spiral staircase leads to a secure room upstairs. We cannot hear you and your space if totally private. We love guests and the outdoors and are often outside enjoying the river. The volunteer fire department is across the street from Sprocket Haus. In Falls City, when there is an emergency and the firefighters are needed, a loud air siren is dispatched. It is very loud – please know that it is a normal call to action for our volunteer first responders. Sprocket Haus is a place for connection, not chaos.
