Serene & Pristine: A Thoughtful Catskills Hideaway

Our serene Catskills chalet sits on 3+ private, forested acres beside a babbling brook, yet you’re just minutes from hiking, kayaking, fishing & charming towns. Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights bring the woods in, while a beautiful soapstone fireplace, dream kitchen with a 6-burner Viking range, cozy furnishings & thoughtful details make it hard to leave. At night, gather around the fire pit and stargaze. The space Tucked into more than three serene acres in the Catskills Park, the chalet is surrounded by towering trees, beautiful mountains, and the peaceful sounds of Mink Brook below. With so much privacy and seclusion, you may never see another person during your stay. It’s a truly magical escape from the city in every season—and one of our favorite places to be. Yet you’re still just minutes from hiking, kayaking, swimming, skiing, and all the wonderful things the Catskills has to offer. The chalet has a bright, open-concept layout, with the exception of the completely private downstairs bedroom and bathrooms. Upstairs, the loft bedroom has its own en suite bathroom and private balcony. A half wall separates the loft from the living room below, giving it a sense of privacy while maintaining the airy, open feel of the space. There’s no need to pack or buy bottled water. Our whole-house water filtration system provides fresh, clean, great-tasting water throughout the chalet. Fill your favorite thermos or water bottle, or simply enjoy a glass of chilled tap water from the kitchen. It’s one less thing to pack and one more little luxury to enjoy during your stay. While we love dogs, we aren’t able to accommodate every furry friend. If you’d like to bring a pet, please include a note about them with your inquiry and we’ll be happy to discuss whether the chalet is a good fit. A note about arrival: the chalet sits at the top of a roughly 200-yard crushed-rock driveway. During heavy snow or icy conditions, we recommend parking at the bottom of the driveway on Mink Brook Road and walking up. We live just down the mountain, so we’re nearby if you need anything and are always happy to help. Guest access The entire cabin, yard & babbling brook (that flows most of the year) is yours to use! Our location is recognized by International Dark Sky as one of the best places in the state for star gazing & there's nothing more magical than enjoying s'mores by the firepit while marveling at the night sky! Other things to note Growing up as a 7th-generation Texan and working in the hospitality industry taught me how to make people feel welcome. I care deeply about the space I've created & want you to feel like you're coming home to somewhere you love, too. After over a decade staying in Airbnbs, I know what separates a so-so stay from an exceptional one.
