55 m2 cottage in a large 17th century stone building, on 3 ha planted with century-old oaks... Ideally located between Forcalquier and Banon, with views of Lure Mountain, in a quiet environment and peaceful nature. Newly restored, it has a kitchen open to the living room (2-seater sofa bed), dining room and an upper floor with shower room/toilet and bedroom (160 cm 2-seater bed +1 cot). We live on site in another wing of the farm. No TV or wifi. The space You can pet and come see our goats, horses, donkey, cats, dogs, pigs, geese and chickens that are on site for the pleasure of young and old! And buy local products such as eggs from our henhouse, lavender/mountain/all-flower honey, olive oil. You will have free access to the large garden shaded by century-old lime trees at the back of the building, enjoy our beautiful Provence sun, with a picnic table, barbecue, hammock, ping-pong, swing... Dogs allowed. Possibility to accommodate riders and their mounts on site. Possibility to take a walk with the goats or Aramis our donkey in the hill on request with your host! Hikers, equestrians, mountain bikers and other lovers of calm and wide open spaces will find a natural setting and a simple and warm welcome all year round. Numerous hiking trails from the house. The Saint Michel observatory, 15 minutes away, organizes year-round entertainment and observations of our wonderful clear sky. On site you can visit the medieval site of Viére overlooking the pretty village of Ongles, meditate at the beautiful chapel of Notre-Dame, eat in the small country bistros nearby, enjoy a horse/pony ride at Anastasja's or buy goat cheese at the Rocher farm. Luberon mountain range 20 min, Forcalquier and Banon 10 min, Manosque 35 min. Lure Mountain 15 minutes away. Gorges du Verdon an hour away. Colorado Provençal 30 minutes away and many picturesque villages of the Contadour (country of Giono) and surroundings. Please note that the gîte is located on the first floor of the house, access by stone stairs. Similarly, access to the bathroom and toilet is via a Japanese-style staircase.
