Description

Brand new cabin with lake views! Enjoy a newly constructed cabin with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, screened in back porch, kayaks, and lake access (see guest access for more details). Close to state parks, river access, fly fishing, hiking trails, and so much more! One cabin located nearby is available to rent at a discount if you have a large group! The space The cabin includes a fire pit, kayaks, and docks for fishing or relaxing. Downstairs: one room with a queen bed (sleeps 2) and one room with a bunk bed that has a twin on top, full on the bottom, and twin trundle underneath (sleeps 4). The bunk room also has a reading nook with light, venting that can also hold a pack and play. Upstairs: one room with a queen bed (sleeps 2). The cabin can be a great place to get away and relax or can be the home base for your mountain adventures! Neaby attractions include: Oconee State Park - 7 minutes Yellow Branch Falls - 7 minutes Stumphouse Tunnel - 10 minutes Oakey Mountain OHV Trail - 10 minutes Chattooga Belle Farm (distillery, cafe, disc golf, event venue) - 20 minutes Chattooga Ridge Canopy Tours - 20 minutes Chattooga River Rafting with Nantahala Outdoor Center - 20 minutes Highlands Nature Center - 40 minutes Tallulah Falls - 45 minutes Highlands Outpost (Scaly Mountain Screamer, tube sliding, gem mine, and trout fishing) - 55 minutes Guest access The entire house is available for your use during your stay. Guests may use the kayaks and access the lake at the docks. It is a steep gravel drive, so some guests have difficulty getting their vehicles up the hill. Parking at the top of the hill is recommended. Driveway scheduled to be paved January 9, 2026 - this should eliminate any difficulty on the drive. Use of lake access requires review of lake rules listed below and signature of waiver. 1. Short Term Renters are extended the privilege to fish, swim and use non-motorized watercraft in the Lake.  Non-motorized watercraft includes canoes, kayaks, john boats, row boats, body, stand-up boards, and any other small craft that is not powered by gas or electricity. Use of watercraft by short term renters shall be permitted only in coves and/or within 50 feet of of the shoreline. 2. All watercraft used by renters must be registered with the Association.  The Association will provide the owner of a registered vessel with proper identification which must be attached to the right side of the vessel. Soft-sided or inflatable craft do not require registration or identification. 3. Short-term renters are not allowed to place outside watercraft on the lake; all watercraft on the lake must be owned by members and must be properly registered with the association, and marked with proper identification. 4. No swimming or use of watercraft without proper lighting after dark. 5. Guests of the lake are NOT allowed within 25 feet of dam or dam equipment. Guests are not allowed to use the boat launch area. 6. All fishing shall be in accordance to S.C. laws.  Trot lines, fish baskets, jug fishing, or netting of fish are not allowed. 7. All renters shall be provided with a copy of these rules by the applicable member/landlord. The member/landlord must require such renters to acknowledge in writing that such renters have been provided with a copy of these rules, that they understand the rules and will abide by the rules.  Such member shall preserve such written acknowledgement with respect to any and all of their renters, and shall provide a copy of such written acknowledgement to the association upon request.  Property owners (members) shall be responsible for the acts and omission of their guests. 8. Renters are subject to all local and state laws. Any violation of these laws/rules will result in loss of lake privileges for the renters and their guests. 9. If a renter or the renter’s guest breaks rules, the owner shall give the renter a negative rating on the rental agreement site. 10. Quiet hours shall be observed between the hours of 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. 11. Our lake is a beautiful mountain treasure.  We want residents and guests to have a safe and enjoyable time at the lake and in the mountains. Please keep our area clean and the lake free of trash. Other things to note There is no smoking or vaping allowed on property. No animals allowed.
